Chapter Three - Don't Threaten Me With A Good Time

Fifteen Years Later

"Mom ! Please ! Why can't I go to the city? All my friends are... Plus it's just a music festival-"

"Where there will be drinking and drugs and things fifteen year old boys shouldn't be doing.. My word is final... Do you think that I got to where I am by going to music festivals instead of studying?" Rey asked her son, as she washed down the plates.

"Mom! Josh's mom is taking us! Plus she'll be there the whole time... Uncle Poe and Uncle Finn said you used to like those things" Lucas said to his mother.

"Well that was before I realized that was stupid and a waste of time.. Besides, you will never get anywhere in life by listening to those silly bands... Lucas you should be picking a college not getting mixed up in the wrong crowd" Rey then put the plates in the dishwasher.

"Mom, I'm only a freshman... Please let me go... I'll text you every thirty minutes please mom... Grandpa Ben gave me birthday money.. Please!" He begged.

"You better be home by 10:30 or else your phone is mine" Rey sighed. Lucas hugged his mother than ran upstairs to his room to grab his bag. "Bye mom"

"Be safe !"

"this is so cool!" Josh said to Lucas as they walked in the festival. "Dude! Knights of Ren are playing! We need to go check them out!"

"My mom hates Knights of Ren" Lucas said.

"Your mom isn't here Luc.. Let's see them! I mean, they're so cool.. And I wanna be just like Kylo Ren when I grow up... did you know that he grew up here in Ashwood Valley?" Josh and him walked over to the Knights of Ren stage.

The Knights of Ren were like a mix of Fallout Boy, Panic! At the Disco, The Offspring and maybe just a little bit of Hamilton... Apparently their main pianist was a fan of musical theater.

"Hey ! What's up everyone ! I'm Kylo Ren and we are the Knights of Ren ! Now whos ready for some music ?" Kylo said into his mic.

Everyone screamed at them, people held signs and were wearing Knights of Ren t-shirts. "This is don't threaten me with a good time!" Kylo said.

Josh had manged to pull himself and Lucas close to the stage, actually they were able to touch the stage. Lucas looked up at the band withe awe as the music began.

It's a hell of a feeling though" Kylo sang into the mic, people screamed even louder, Lucas found himself almost as one with the music, he would give anything to be up on that stage.

'Who are these people?
I just woke up in my underwear
No liquor left on the shelf
I should probably introduce myself" Kylo vocalized into the mic, causing Lucas to become locked in the music and he didn't want to escape.

"You shoulda' seen what I wore

A pack of camels and a smoke alarm" Kylo was on fire, he was so good and Lucas even snapped a couple photos of him with his phone.

"What are these footprints?

I think we've had enough" Josh looked at Lucas and back at Kylo, they seemed to have the same habits of moving their thumb to the beat and how they both held a mic so tight, mostly from their band rehersal that Lucas's mother had no clue about.

Also this is my first chapter I've written on my laptop... It seemed to be much eaiser to write so I'll be mostly using my phone to read and message people... so there probably won't be any GIFS for a while unless I update on my phone.
