it's been four years since i saw that girl.

im starting highschool today and i haven't even seen a glimpse of the shining silver of her hair.

which means i haven't found out her name yet.

a small smile lit up my face as i looked up at my new school.

all of the regulars decided to come to seigaku's high school so we could all be together and play for a few more years.

my smile grew slightly as i thought about my first year in middle school, it would seem i'm in the same position as then.

i was almost immediately snapped out of my thoughts as horio and the others came up to me, horio slung his arm around my shoulder with a grin.

i rolled my eyes as he half yelled "good morning, echizen-kun!"

kachiro and mizuno both gave me weak smiles as they both chorused "good morning."

i nodded to them.

sakuno and tomoka soon came to our sides as well and they started talking to us, i wasn't really interested in listening to what they had to say though so i just looked to the side and walked beside them.

a sweetly familiar voice made me freeze mid step though.

"-cause i get a thousand hugs from ten thousand lightning bugs, as they try to teach me how to dance."

i turned quickly and my eyes widened when i saw a flash of silver between two students walking past me.

i took a few steps closer and sure enough she was leaning against the wall of a the hallway outside a classroom door.

i stepped up in front of her and crossed my arms across my chest as i scrutinized her face.

she slowly opened her blue grey eyes and they focused on me slightly before she tilted her head in confusion.

taking a half step away from her i gave a satisfied smirk as i said "i knew it was you."

although she looked different having grown out her hair and her eyes seemed slightly more grey i could tell it was her.

she furrowed her brows in confusion and i said "you said next time we met you would tell me your name."

recognition seemed to dawn on her and she pushed herself off of the wall with a small smile.

"oh, it's you." she mused slightly amused.

i rolled my eyes as she held her hand out slowly and said "I'm Koyuki Naoko, it's nice to meet you."

i shook her hand and said somewhat slowly "Ryoma Echizen."

she seemed like she was about to say something but horio popped up at my side, surprising her, and said loudly "hello, my name is horio! i'm echizen-kun's best friend!"

she raised an eyebrow at him before looking to me as she said in a light voice "how nice, well, if you will excuse me."

then she turned and went into the classroom just as the bell rang.

i sent a light glare at horio and sighed before looking down at my timetable, weird, i'm in this class as well.

i followed after her and sighed again as the others piled through the door after me.

once inside i noticed koyuki sitting in the back corner by a window.

i smiled and made my way to the seat next to her but gave a disappointed frown when horio took the seat, only to pester her.

i rolled my eyes and sat in front of her.

when the teacher came in he surprised everyone by pulling out a box and saying "alright i want everyone to come pull a slip of paper out of this box. it will decide your seating arrangement for the rest of the year."

several people started to whine but one by one they all picked a piece of paper and told the teacher their name and desk number.

surprisingly koyuki ended up in the same seat she picked for herself and she sat leaning back in her chair smugly watching all of the other students be placed in places they didn't like.

when it was my turn i was surprised to see the number 27 on my slip of paper.

there are only 28 seats in this room and koyuki has 28.

which means i will be koyuki's seat mate for the rest of the year.

i smirked and told the teacher my name and seat then made my way to her.

she looked up at me in slight surprise as i sat down beside her but i just smirked at her.

she smiled back and said sweetly "try not to be a nuisance this year alright ryoma?"

immediately my left eyebrow started to twitch in annoyance and i huffed at her before turning and watching the last few students draw for seats.

i almost questioned why i wanted to sit by her in the first place but felt my train of thought freeze as she turned, putting her chin in her hand she gazed longingly outside at the dancing cherry blossoms in the wind.

her hair shined brightly in the sunlight falling through the window and i felt my breath catch in my throat at the sight.

that glorious silver hair, that was why i found her so interesting.

it had to be, after all silver is my favorite color.
