"Koyuki! Ryoma! you can rally before practice ends!" i heard coach granny yell to us from the courts.
i look over to ryoma in excitement before running towards the courts.
i can hear him sigh behind me before he jogged to catch up.
we reached the courts at about the same time and he looked over to me before asking "your not to tired to play are you?"
i shook my head before happily chirping "Never!"
grabbing my black racket i got onto my side of the court and noticed all of the regulares gathering around to watch our game.
ryoma was already on his side with two balls in hand, but instead of going to the service line he threw the balls over the net to me as he said "it's your turn this time."
i grinned before asking "so do you want to go all out?"
he cast an unsure look to his teammates before shaking his head and saying "50"
i nodded and started a song on my phone before bouncing the ball twice and tossing it up.
a smirk made its way to my lips as i hit a reverse twist serve to ryoma.
he didn't even blink as he returned it to me.
i was singing with the song as we rallied before i heard ryoma say something in english.
blinking in surprise i made a sloppy return before asking "you speak english?"
he rolled his eyes at me before repeating what he asked "what made you stop playing?"
my smile slipped and i gave him a slightly smaller smile as i said "well, something happened and my parents thought it would be best that i focused on music instead of sports."
he lobbed the ball for me and i jumped up for a smash.
however, before it could hit the court he slid under it and managed to hit it back to me.
i quickly back flipped back and mange to backhand it back to him.
"what happened though?" he asked as he hit a few easy balls to me.
i frowned at him as i hit the balls back and asked "well, aren't you rather persistent?"
he frowned back and taking him by surprise i hit a very heavy ball with a top spin to him.
he barely managed to lob it to me and i quickly smashed it with all my might into the farthest corner from him.
he clicked his tongue in annoyance before looking over to me as i said "honestly, it isn't something i like to talk about with people. especially if im just getting to know them ryoma."
he frowned at me while i spun my racket in my hand and stepped off the court with a fake smile on my face.
quickly looking at my phone i said "it would seem i have to go home for the evening. see you guys another time!"
the fake smile stayed plastered on my face as i gathered my stuff and walked calmly off of school campus.
i made it all the way to the train crossing before my smile slipped and was replaced with an emotionless mask.
'why did he have to ask that?'
