a serene smile light up my face as I picked my bag up, getting ready to leave class and go change for gym class.
"Naoko-chan," the teacher's voice called from the front of the classroom making both Ryoma and I lookup.
sighing I made my way to the front and waited for the other students to leave, noticing Ryoma wave slightly before disappearing to go change for gym.
my eyes finally connected with the teachers and a light smile fell across her face as she said: "I noticed you actually did your work today."
I rose an eyebrow before nodding slightly, curious as to where this was going.
she held up a stack of papers to me as she said "wonderful, hopefully, that means you are finally worried about your failing grades!"
"failing grades?" I squeaked out as she pushed the large stack into my hands.
"yes, I have taken the liberty of gathering these worksheets for you to do in order to get your grade up to a passing letter," she continued before picking up a folder and placing it on top of the papers.
"the folder is extra credit that you can do to build your grade, even more, I'm counting on you to do all of the necessary worksheets within the month, if not I will have to call your parents and get them involved."
get my parents involved?
"Shit," I mumbled out, freezing when I noticed the narrowed eyes of my teacher.
she said nothing though as she turned back to her desk and said "the fact that you haven't been doing anything in class and still managed to get %100 on today's paper proves you are smart. I think you are fully capable of this much at the very least Naoko-chan. while you may excel in music and sports, it would be best for you to have a backup plan for your life. please consider your options carefully."
I frowned slightly at her before clutching the stack to my chest and bowing politely as I said: "yes ma'am, thank you for this opportunity."
carefully I placed the large stack into my bag and ran to the changing rooms, wondering when I could possibly find the time to work on the worksheets.
as I was changing I thought back to Ryoma's words before.
a tutor huh?
maybe he could help me with all of this work.
leaving my bag in the changing rooms, as usual, I quickly made my way to the rest of the class and started to stretch with everyone else.
Ryoma and I were assigned to tennis to prepare for the upcoming match and i smiled at him before we went to what I am now calling our court.
as we began our rally I smiled at Ryoma nervously, making him raise an eyebrow at me in curiosity.
"Ne~ Ryo?~" I called sweetly.
"what?" he asked in bland tone, sounding like he was worried about what I wanted.
"do you want to stay at my house tonight?" I asked in English as I returned his easy shot straight to him.
instead of hit the ball back like I had expected though Ryoma was hit directly in his face with enough force to knock him back onto his ass.
"Ah, Ryo!" I called out shocked as I quickly jumped over the net and rushed to his side, catching the attention of the coach as well as his friends who were nearby on the track.
he slowly lifted his hand and wiped his nose, just alerting me to the blood that had begun to drip slowly at first before pooling down his chin at an alarming rate.
