I sat in the biology class alone waiting for the students. I needed some time alone. Mom and dad's fights are getting worse day by day. It has become really difficult for me to stay in that house. I have been saving money from a long time. I think the time has come to put it to use. I need an apartment of my own. All these years my parents instead of buying me actual presents they just transferred huge amount of cash in my account...be it my birthday, Christmas or academic excellence. I hated it so much that I never used that money but now I have to use it. I need it for my mental peace. I reached for my jacket's pocket get hold of my phone but instead of it I got hold of something else. I took it out. It was a bracelet. Alice's bracelet. That immediately brought a smile to my face. I remember how I found it. Last week while I driving to Tony's place I saw Alice outside a cafe talking over the phone. By the time I got out she had already gone inside. I went after her and then I saw her bracelet lying near the gate. It was her's. I had seen her wearing it many times. I thought of returning it to her but she was with her friend. So I just kept it for later but then it has stayed with me ever since. I don't know when will I give it to her or how. What will she think of me? Maybe I should just keep it.
I was so lost in my thoughts that I didn't see students entering. The class was nearly half filled now. I saw Alice entering and I quickly kept her bracelet back into my jacket. In that light pink to she looked quite..umm..edible. Okay Jake stop that I thought.

Bianca was no where to be seen. Thank God. Mrs. Cooper came into the class and everyone became quiet. She started with the lesson. I wasn't paying attention. My mind of stuck on that stupid history test in two weeks. I so hate that subject. I am so going to fail. "Mr. Brian any problem?" I heard Mrs Cooper's voice. "No ma'am nothing" "Then why are you frowning?" She looked concerned. "Just a headache" I lied. "You can leave if you want" " Its completely fine ma'am"
She returned back to the lesson. Alice looked back and our eyes met. I just smiled at her and she smiled back and then she was back to paying attention to the lesson. Finally Mrs Cooper was done. "I have decided on something" Mrs Cooper announced. Everyone's eyes were fixed on her. "I have postponed the test. I'll take it next month" she declared. Wow! I had almost finished the chapter. I hope she was my history teacher too. Everyone roared with hoots and claps. Good for them. The teacher left and soon everyone started making party plans as if the test has been cancelled and not postponed. I waited for others to leave the room. I saw that even Alice's friend..Melissa I think is her name..was also gone. Alice was still packing her things. Good.
