Walked into the school with so many thoughts. Me and Jake... are we friends now? Will he talk to me today? What will I say if he does? What will Mel and Case say? Okay chill now you are over thinking. It's no big deal if he talks. We are in the same school. But...umm leave it.
"Hey you look beautiful" I heard Max's voice from behind.
"Thank you.." I said smiling.
I am so damn awkward with compliments.
"History right?" He asked walking along with me.
"Yes"
"So it's the final year...what are your plans after this?"
"Thought of some universities in London..business management most probably"
"London!!great"
"Yeah its my dream...what about you?"
"I'll pursue finance..or maybe business management..not decided yet..my plans are not so sure as yours...wherever I get admission I'll gladly accept"
"Yeah right...don't act so humble..you are quite intelligent"
"Look who is talking"

History class was fine except that we were given a test too. Now even I will have to study when Jake comes over. Today I need to go out with Mel and Case. I'll ask him to come tomorrow. We need to write the answers too.
"What are you thinking about?" Max asked as we walked towards the cafeteria.
"Umm nothing just the test"
"Yeah its on your birthday"
"Wow you remember?"
"Ofcourse I do"
As we entered the cafeteria I saw mel and Case already eating. I sat with them and even asked Max to join us.
Jake was sitting with his friends on the next table. I looked at him and he smiled.
"Are you on a diet?" Max asked.
"No obviously" I retorted.
"Then why aren't you eating?"
"Oh right I'll just get it..." I got up.
"No no I'll get it for you..."
"Oh no please..I'll get it"
"Alice..I am going to get mine..tell me what you want"
"Umm okay just a cheese sandwich will do"
"Sure be right back"
I sat there quiet as I was kind of disappointed. I half expected Jake to come and talk to me or atleast make some sort of a gesture but then I was expecting too much. He had a reputation to maintain here plus we just study together not hang out or something...so his behavior is justified..nonetheless I don't care..do I? Hope not.
"I hope you remember we are going shopping today?" Mel 's voice brought me back.
"Sure we will go after we eat right?"
"Yes..am bunking my last class" Casey chirped.
Yeah today Mrs Cooper was on a sick leave so my last class biology was cancelled. I was little disappointed as it would have given me a chance to see whether Jake talks to me or not.
"I see Alice is back to her wonderland" Max exclaimed putting down two trays.
"Oh thank you so much" I smiled. I was starving and that just makes me over think.
Rest of the time was good talking to Max. He is really funny. We talked a lot about the career options...the kind of talk I can never have with Mel or Case...they get so easily bored with it.
I realised Max is quite attractive himself. Obviously girls have an eye on him too. He doesn't care though..he is too much into studies like me.
The bell rang and students started hurrying towards their classes. Jake went out but not before glancing towards me and Max. He looked annoyed. Now what am I supposed to interpret that as? Obviously I didn't hallucinate his expressions.

"Max is kinda hot "Mel Said while driving to the mall.
"Good for Ally"Case giggled.
I just rolled my eyes. They are impossible. I didn't say anything because first I know they are just teasing...second..me saying anything will make no difference.
"Will anyone care to explain why have we come to shop all of a sudden? With no upcoming occasion?" I asked entering a store.
"No ocassion? Your birthday is next week duh.." Mel replied.
"And we have come here to buy clothes for that..." Case added.
Okay so we have come shopping for my birthday and I myself was least interested..so me.

I picked up two tops..a pair of jeans and a pair of super high heels. I don't like heels but Mel and Case would have murdered me if I didn't buy it. They want me to wear it on my birthday. What a great day to embarrass yourself. I mean I tumble over air wearing no shoes at all and here they want me to walk around in heels. It's like planning a murder of someone as clumsy as me.

"Blue one or pink?" Case asked for the third time.
"Blue one case"
"But I like the pink one"
"Obviously you will always like the pink one...but you already have enough of pink clothes Case"
"You're right..I'll take the blue one"
I am a quick shopper so I was done in just 15 minutes and all I had to do was now go around all the stores and sit their for hours as they take their own little..which by the way means huge..time.
"Silver shoes or black?" Mel asked trying each of them.
"With what will you wear it?"
"White dress...the one I bought today"
"Umm..go with silver then"
"Great choice"

I was so bored that I had no choice but to fiddle with my phone. Surprisingly there was a text from Jake.
Jake Brian- hey what's up?
Me- am out..
The reply came instantly
Jake Brian- with Max?
Me- no..Melissa and Casey
Why will I go out with Max? Not that there is a problem in it but I think he meant not just a hang out.
Jake Brian- great.. have fun..
Me- I wish...btw tested me regarding some work?
Jake Brian- no no just like that
Me- umm okay..you can come over tomorrow..we will continue with history..now I have a test too
Jake Brian- sure will be there

Okay so tomorrow I'll go to her place again. Good. I didn't text her for long as I didn't want to disturb her.
I wanted to talk to her in the school but then I remembered she has a reputation there. I don't want my friends thinking anything wrong about her...actually I don't want them to think about her at all.
I looked at Tony and Sam enjoying themselves which by the way means dancing with random girls with their hands all over. I was sitting in the bar alone drinking. I am not much of a club person but the environment in my house forces me to stay outside as much as possible.
But even here it's not that peaceful. There is Bianca and other girls always trying to lure me. No wonder I feel so comfortable around that babydoll. She hates that name so much. Only thinking about her annoyed expression cheered me up. I paid for my drink and left for house.
It's too late and I dont want to miss the first class tomorrow..biology.

I got home to the same hostile environment. My parents were fighting as usual and as usual I went straight to my room. Their voices were still very clear.
"I don't want to stay with you anymore" mom was screaming.
"Same here...I'll file for divorce soon" dad fired back.
"I can't even stand your face"
"The feelings are mutual..you can get out of the house and go to your boyfriend"
"Please as if you are very loyal..."
And it continued. They didn't even care whether am home or not. They never did. Are parents so selfish? Initially I hoped they get divorce but now I don't care about them anymore. I will meet the brochure tomorrow before going to school. I'll shift this month itself...every second in this house is taking my sanity away.
