Alice.

As I sat for the last class I couldn't help but not pay attention. It had been a tiring day....a very tiring day. We had so many sums to solve in trig, then Mrs. Cooper gave us a long lecture in how our presentation should be like, in history Mr. Henley taught the leftover topic without a break and now literature where Ms. Rebecca was discussing the important questions for the final exam which is in a week. God!...just thinking of the exam and things which are left to do makes me so tired. Senior year is so messed up...I want to graduate right now.

Finally the school was over. I walked out feeling like a zombie. I was so tired... not physically but mentally. So many things inside of  my head...it was completely saturated. I was by the lockers taking my things when I saw Mel coming towards me.
"Hey here's my presentation" she said handing me her pen drive.
I gave her a confused look.
"I want you to check it once...it's complete" she cleared.
"Oh right.. I'll see it"
"You can make any changes if you want"
"Yeah sure" I smiled and left.
I walked into the parking lot and saw Jake waiting.
"Hey how was your day?" He asked opening the door.
"Umm stressful...it's been such a busy week...my head feels all jammed"
"Okay...I think I can do something about it"
"And that is?"
"Let's see" he winked starting the engine.
We stopped near the park.
"We have been coming here quite often these days" I asked getting out.
"Yeah..it's my new favourite place"
"Since when?" I laughed.
"Since I met you here" he said kissing my forehead.
He lifted me and made me sit on his car in the front. He got inside his car a took out a box.
"What's that?" I asked.
"Its for you"
"You don't need to buy me things so often you know?" I said.
In the past months that we had been together Jake has developed a habit of giving random gifts. I loved them but then I'm not very fond of taking gifts for no reason so I always ask him not to but then he is Jake Brian...he will do what he wants to.
"Technically I didn't buy this one" he said opening the box. There in it was the same bracelet that my mom had given to me and I lost it. I couldn't believe that it looked exactly the same.
"Umm is it creepy that this bracelet looks exactly like the one I lost few months back?"
"No.. because it's the same one"
I didn't know what to think of it. How on earth can it get to him? I lost it way before he and I became friends. I didn't say anything...I just stared at him in disbelief....waiting for an explanation.
"Okay let me break it to you" Jake said smiling.
"Yes please"
"You dropped it at the entrance of the café and I picked it up"
"And why didn't you return it to me?"
"Because I didn't know how to approach you...I mean I didn't have the courage"
"Oh my God...Jake Brian didn't have the courage to talk to a girl?" I smirked.
"Not just any other girl...it was a very special girl" he winked.
" Okayy...then why didn't you give me after we started talking?"
"Because a lot of time had passed and I didn't want you to think me of some freak who has been stalking you and is obsessed with you"
"And why are you giving it now then?"
"Because now I want you to know that I'm a freak who is obsessed with you and I'm going to stalk you for life"
"That's not creepy at all"
"Shouldn't be" he said pulling me closer.
He took the bracelet and fixed it around my wrist. It felt so good to have it back.
"I thought I lost it forever" I said admiring my bracelet.
"You're not going to lose anything when I'm around" he said kissing my forehead.
Lately I have developed more liking for these forehead kisses than the lip ones.
"You know I miss those days when we used to bunk classes...go around and have fun.. I miss the fun me" I said placing my head on his chest.
"Woah...what did I do to the old Alice Mayor?" He chuckled.
"You made her a lovesick fool" I said kissing him.
"You did it first" he said kissing me back. We continued rummaging each other's mouth. It was dark now and the park was quite deserted so I was comfortable. Am not a very big fan of PDA.
"Come on let's go" Jake said pulling away.
"Where?"
"To meet the fun you and the fun me" he winked.

We entered a club which was in the other side of this city.
"What place is this? I have never been here before" I said looking around.
"I come here with Tony...or mostly alone..I like this place"
I nodded. I looked around and saw that it wasn't crowded..so unlike other bars. The customers here were quite old. Actually all of them were oldies. I couldn't find anyone of our age.
"Yeah it's quite old...and quiet so they prefer to be here" Jake said reading my face.
A lady was serving drinks at the bar. She looked at Jake and waved. Jake grabbed my hand and we walked to the bar.
"Hey Jake..long time no see?" The lady asked as we took our places on the stool.
"Yeah...was busy" he replied.
"You're not alone today" she said looking at me.
"Yeah...meet my girlfriend Alice...and Alice meet Miranda"
I smiled at her and she smiled back...but unlike other women her smile was warm and genuine.. maybe because Jake was quite young for her age..or maybe she was just nice...so stop making assumptions Alice.
"Hey Jake darling" a very old woman came up to us and sat beside me.
"Oh Nene...how are you doing?" Jake asked.
"I'm good...is this beauty your girlfriend?" She asked looking at me.
"Yes she is" Jake said kissing my cheeks.
"Awe..so many hearts must have got broken" she said.
I smiled.
"And by that I meant that many guys' hearts must have been broken...come on look at her" Nene said.
"I know" Jake laughed.
I laughed too. I liked Nene. At this age she was so alive.
"So beer?" Miranda asked.
"Nope...vodka" I said.
Jake gave me a glare. " Are you sure baby doll?" He asked.
"Yeah it's supposed to be a fun night... where's the fun in beer?" I winked.
"Okay...as you say" he smiled.
