Falling...into the Dark.

I got out of my class as soon as the bell rang. I need to check the notice board fast. First I need to call Mel and tell her about the test. She bunked the biology class due to some work.
Wait where's my phone? Shit! Left it in the class.
I turned to go back and collided with a rock hard chest.

"Oh I'm so sorry" I said looking up. It was Jake. My mouth dried up. Instantly I got down to pick up my stuffs that had fallen. "I'll help you" jake said getting down too. He picked up all the scattered papers carefully. I looked at him properly. It was the first time he was so close to me. His chiseled biceps were showing off as he was wearing a sleeveless sweatshirt. The colour black just complimented his blue eyes. "There you go" he said handing me the papers. I smiled and took them. A chill went down my spine as our fingers brushed. I immediately withdrew my hand. "Thank you" was all I could say before hurrying inside the classroom. "You're welcome" I heard him say from behind. That brought a wide grin on my face.
I went to my desk and picked my phone. Bianca was still there sitting and applying nailpaints, happily flirting with Mark who is also quite wanted in our school. Not as much as Jake though. God such a desperate. She already has the best and still she is here trying her hands on Mark too.
She looked at me and gave me a scowl. Woah! What have I done to her? I quickly left the room before I see them jumping on each other.

I reached home late as I had to buy some books. Mom opened the door and looked relieved. "Am sorry mom my battery ran out so couldn't inform" I said apologetically. "I know honey I tried calling" she said kissing my forehead. "Melissa is upstairs waiting for you" she said going towards the kitchen.
Honestly I was expecting her. She has obviously come hearing about the test.
"Where have you been? " she glared at me.
I showed her the books I was carrying.
"Okay now tell me the topics"
I marked the topics in her book. Everytime I turned a page she gasped.
"Sooo mucchh? How much did she cover today... It was just the first day man! " she screamed.
"Well you know mrs. Cooper... So she completed half of it and am pretty sure it will be over tomorrow"
"Oh my God Ally how will I study so much! "
"You have a week Mel. Learn a little everyday "
"I am not you babe. Plus I'll forget everything"
"Mel don't whine.. Try atleast"
She stayed for a little while and then she left.
I changed into my pjs and started to study. I need to do good in the test. Not that I have ever done bad but still I need to stand on my expectations.
After covering few of the topics my eyes felt heavy. I needed sleep. I quickly ate the dinner mom had left on the study table. As I lay on the bed I got reminded of those blue eyes, that manly smell, the cold touch. It was actually the first time I spoke to him in this two years. I felt something weird happening to my heart but then I ignored it and went back to sleep.

Morning

I woke up to the sound of my phone ringing. It was Case.
"Why are you calling so early?" I growled under my blanket.
"Get ready fast we are coming to pick you. We will have breakfast in our favourite cafe and then go to school together" she said and just cut the call.
I rolled my eyes and got up. I hate to be woken up from sleep but then I'll give it up any day for my best friends. I quickly took a bath and changed into a pink top and light blue jeans. Got all my stuffs and went down. They were already there talking to my mom.
"You look so cute Ally" Mel screamed.
"Cute really? How old am I? Two years? " I rolled my eyes.
She started laughing. She knows how much this compliment annoys me.
"Do inform me if you are late again? " she said as we got out.
"Sure thing" I waved to her.

It was just a ten minutes drive to the cafe. The smell... Umm I so love this place. Mel and Case sat down and I went straight to Maria the owner.
"Hey did you find it? " I asked with hope.
"No Alice. I looked everywhere" she said with a sad tone.
"No problem"

"What were you asking?" Case questioned as I took my seat.
"Ally lost her favourite bracelet" Mel said before I could say a word.
"Holy shit" Case covered her mouth. She asked, "the one that your mom got it from Paris? "
"Yes" mel and I said in unison.
"You lost that beauty? How? " I think she is more affected that I am.
"I dropped it somewhere.. I don't know where.. I was here the last time I wore it"
"You sure you dropped it here? "
"I don't know.. Maybe on my way.. I just don't remember"
Just then our food was served. We looked at the waitress in surprise.
"Well I ordered the food while you both were busy solving a mystery" Mel smirked.
We had our breakfast and clicked a lot of pictures.
"It feels so good to be here together after so long" Case said posing for a selfie.
"Yeah" the other two of us agreed.
"Now come on we'll be late" I interrupted their photo session.
"Not when am driving" Case winked.
"Oh please.. I am shit scared of your rash driving. It feels like am on a death roller coaster" I said getting up.
"Well you are still alive" Case rolled her eyes.
Thankfully they agreed on leaving. Case turned on the music and we drove to school.
