"MUM, WAKE UP!!! THE FLAT IS ON FIRE!!!" I'm awoken by my son Cass shaking me awake and screaming.

I jump awake in a panic and wrap my arms around him and jumping out of bed.

"DAWN, GET MATTIE!! THE FLAT IS A BLAZE!!!" I sat sliding my vans on and heading toward my bedroom door.

"Happy birthday, mummy." Cass smiles at me when I grab the door knob.

"What?" I ask in confusion.

"It's morning time. Happy birthday." He smiles.

"Ugh," I sigh in relief that nothing is wrong. "Who put you up to this." I ask him shaking my head.

"Auntie Dawn." He smiles.

I cock am eyebrow before opening my door. "Dawn, did you tell Cass to scare me awake?!" I call downstairs.

"Happy Birthday!!" She calls back in her what-are-you-talking-about voice. I then sigh and giggle to myself.

"Mummy, we have a big surprise for you." Cass smiles at me as I hold him into a hug.

"A mum couldn't have asked for a better son. Maybe one that wouldn't try to give her a heart attack every morning. But certainly not better. Let's go down and see what your aunt got for mummy, yeah?" I say and he nods.

When we get downstairs Dawn and Mattie are in the kitchen already eating breakfast.

"Happy Birthday, Emily." Dawn smiles at me giving me a tight hug.

"Thank you, Dawn. So, Cass says you have a huge surprise for me?" I asks not wanting to wait for my gift." I ask not wanting to wait for my gift any longer than I have to.

"Well, I bought tickets and backstage passes for all of us. I know how hard it is for the kids to keep a secret so the surprise is where I'm taking you." She smirks.

"Well where are we going?" I ask taking a bite of my eggs.

"That's a surprise. Duhh" She chuckles.

"Ugh, fine. Well what time should we get ready to go?" I ask taking another bite.

"Around five thirty. But for the rest of the day we'll do whatever you wanna do. We could have fun with the kids, or do some shopping, or whatever." She shrugs.

"Well, Cass has school, and I'm pretty sure Mattie has school too. So while they're away We can go to the mall. We can pick them up when they get out and you can take us to where ever the concert is." I say wiping some syrup off of Cass's cheek.

"Mum, I'm a big boy. I can clean myself up." He says swatting my hand away.

I giggle at him before handing him a tissue so he can clean himself up.
