"Luke, you alright?" Ashton asks as I take my seat between him and Michael.

"Yeah, fine." I nod.

"Pardon me, but, he is the smallest thing I've seen since my own. How old is he?" Julia butts.

"Three." I try to move the conversation back to the lads before we go back on air but Julia is determined to get her scoop.

"I don't see his mother anywhere. Did she drop him off to you?" She asks.

"Yeah, kinda. How long before we go back on air. I need to talk to my band mates." I try to stay polite and she gives in with a nod.

"You've got two minutes." She walks out.

Just as she closes the door Calum speaks up. "What the hell was that? Where is she? Are you two okay?"

"Yeah. I can't go into detail but Luke will be staying with me for now and, Cal, you and I will be moving rooms." He nods leaning back in his seat.

"Is everything okay? Is...she okay?" Ashton asks again.

"I don't..."just before I can finish Julia walks back in.

"Knock knock. Sorry boys but we go back on the air soon. I hope everything's okay." She says taking her seat and we all put our headsets on. Behind the glass the director starts counting down from five. When he hits a silent one the "on air" sign flashes red.

"Welcome back, everyone! Glad you're here!" She begins and Cass flinches from her volume. The show goes on as scheduled and she barely brings me up until the tail end. "Luke, we we're all so shocked to find out that not only did you have a child but, it was also not with Mona. A lot of fans actually thought you'd stepped out on her and from the looks of it this was well before Mona. Anything to say?" She looks like a puppy waiting for a treat.

"Mona and I split because she refused to handle it like a proper adult. My son's mother is an ex from years ago. We didn't leave on bad terms but we didn't keep in contact either. That should sum it all up." I speak giving Cass a quick squeeze.

"And is there anything about him that you feel comfortable enough to share?" She asks.

"He's named after me." Is all I say. I have to get him out of here.

"I can't imagine how proud you are of that. To have your own legacy and so early on. How does your family feel?"

"We haven't really gotten to talk about it yet."

"I see. And the mother? Will we ever get to know who she is?"

Just before I can answer I'm saved by the boy. "Daddy?" He whispers pulling my necklace so he's in my ear. "I have to wee."

"Erm, his mother os very adamant about staying out of the public eye. We don't want to put our son in harms way. Is there anything else. L.J. hasn't been feeling well so it's about time. I get him home." I lie.

"L.J., how cute is that? And of course. Het him out of the chilly weather. It was really nice meeting you, L.J." she smiles leaning towards him but he's still covering his face in my chest.

"Thank you." His little voice comes though. Her eyes light up in awe but before she can add anything into this conversation I'm already up and striding to the dressing room to wait for the guys.

"That was so good, buddy!" I praise when were out of everyone's earshot. He smiles up at me with his big blue eyes. It's still so strange how he looks so much like me. It's like I'm looking at one of my old photos.

"I just did what you said. But is mummy gonna get upset that I forgot to call you Mr. Luke?" He asks with some worry. She must not get angry with him often. I wouldn't understand why if she did. He,s the best behaved kid his age I've ever met who wasn't rich and already trained to be posh.

"Not a chance. As long as no one sees your face you can call me dad all you want." I smile snuggling him closer. "Lets get you to the washroom and wait for your uncles. Then I'll take you out for some ice cream." His little face glows like a spotlight.

"Okay, daddy."
