Rae's POV
"Come here, princess." My grandfather says as he inches closer to me.
I keep moving along the wall, hoping to get closer to the door. I will not let him get near me, I won't let him touch me again.
"Come give your grandpa some love." He smirks.
"Stay the fuck away from me." I spit.
"You listen to me bitch, I am in charge here. I have all the power. You do as I say the way I want!" His voice is full of rage.
"You'll never be in charge of me and you'll never get me to do anything!" I shout.
I'm getting closer to the door. I only have to pass the bed. But I'll be open for him to get me if I'm not fast when crawling over the bed. One more step and all I have to do is jump.
As soon as I move, he's on top if me. He wrestles me down on top of the bed. I scream and kick him. I hit him and punch him with as much force as I can muster. Even though he's old, he's pretty strong. I can't get out of his grip.
I don't know what to do. He tries to put his hand up my dress, but I knee him where the sun don't shine. He groans, but doesn't budge. I do the only thing that comes to mind.
I scream. I scream as loud as I can, hoping that somebody might hear me. Maybe the boys are looking for me and will hear my shouts.
My grandfather slaps his hand across my mouth, trying to make me shut up, but I just bite his hand. He pulls his arm away, but his grip doesn't lessen.
He realizes that he doesn't have a lot of time before someone finds me, so he starts working fast. He rips off my dress and yanks my bra off. I struggle and try to free one of my arms. He moves on to pulling off my underwear. I swing my legs and make it harder for him to undress me.
He's almost done taking off my clothes. I keep yelling and fighting. Somebody has to hear me. Someone has to help.

Shane's POV
We're figuring out the final part of our plan when I hear an unnerving sound. I shut everybody up and listen harder.
"Do you guys hear that?" I ask after a few seconds.
"Hear what?" Eli asks.
"That screaming. It's coming from one of the rooms down the hall." I say.
I go into the hallway and sure enough, the shouts are louder. I follow the noises down the hallway and find the room where the screams are the loudest.
"This is it. Rae's in this one." I inform the boys when they catch up to me.
"Shane wait," Isaac starts.
"I can't wait! Rae's in there and she needs help!" I yell at him.
"Spencer, Noah, go back to the room." Sterling orders.
"We aren't going anywhere." Spencer replies.
"Now, Spencer!" Sterling says with more force.
Noah and Spencer retreat back to our room. I twist the doorknob but it's locked. I slam my fist on the wall in frustration.
"Shane move." Sterling pushes me out of the way.
He brings his leg up and kicks the door in. Isaac, Sterling, Eli, and I scramble inside the room. I look around and find Rae on the bed with, who I assume is her grandfather on top of her. I rush to the bed and yank him off of her. I pull him to the ground and start throwing punches and kicking him. Sterling takes my place so that I can comfort Rae. Eli's waiting at the door in case someone shows up.
Isaac has Rae wrapped in a sheet and is holding her against his chest. I move beside Rae and she leans into me and begins to cry on my shoulder. I rub her back, doing my best to make her feel better.
"Shh, it's okay Rae. You're safe now. I'm right here, I'm right here." I whisper to her over and over again.
Sterling left her grandfather on the ground covered in cuts and bruises. Isaac told him that we had to call the police. Sterling agreed and the 2 of them went into the hallway to make the call. Eli left the room to tell Spencer and Noah that Rae was okay.
"Shane?" Rae whispers.
"What?" I stare down at her.
"Thank you." Her eyes are glistening with tears.
"Of course. Anything for you." I smile at her.
"And Shane," Rae hesitates for a moment. "I-I love you."
"I love you too." I say, surprised that those words actually managed to come out of my mouth.
She leans up, closing the space between us, and plants a kiss on my lips. I grab her head and kiss her back. When we break apart, I can tell that she was thinking the same thing I was: that that kiss was the best kiss in the entire world.
"God, I love you." I sigh.
Soon enough, the police show up to question Rae. She tells them everything that happened. They arrest her grandfather and assure her that he won't be out anytime soon.
When that was all over, Sterling told us that we should go see Liam and Griffin at the hospital. We agreed and left the hotel.
At the hospital, we explained everything to Griffin. He was so relieved that Rae was okay. We all are.
Rae hasn't left my side since we found her. I don't mind, I'm glad actually that she feels safe with me. Every now and then, Eli glances at her with longing in his eyes. I'm not sure what that's about, but I will ask him later.
For now, all I care about is making sure that Rae is okay and that my family is alright. That's all that matters to me.
