Rae's POV

It's Monday. Ugh school. Shane and I ended up sleeping in his bed together. I seem to have spent most of my time here with Shane. He helped me get trough my fight with Isaac. Today's my first day of school being apart of the Grace family. I'm not sure how it'll all play out.

I get out if bed and hurry to the shower. I do two French-braids in my hair after combing through it. I pull on leggings, a cute tee, a jacket, and my Vans. I put on my make-up. I step out of the bathroom and go downstairs to scarf down breakfast before we're late.

Shane, Eli, Noah, Spencer, Isaac, and I all pile into their GMC. Isaac drives. We ride to school in silence. Once we arrive, the boys let me out so that they can go park in their usual parking spot. I walk into school and head for my locker.

Lanie's waiting for me along with a boy. As I get closer, I recognize that it's Daniel Rosa, the soccer team captain and goalkeeper. I've liked him since 8th grade. I reach the locker and give Lanie a skeptical look. I raise my eyebrows when she smiles back at me.

"Lanie, you want to explain why Daniel's here?"

"Um, he asked me out. I said yes." She giggles. I give her a huge hug.

"I'm so happy for you!" We act like your typical white-girls with Starbucks.

I direct my attention to Daniel. "If you ever hurt her in anyway, I will maul you. You here me?" I poke his chest. He nods in terror.

"You're really intimidating. But you know that, don't you?" I smirk at his comment.

I toss my textbooks into the locker. I pull out my journal for English and close the door.

"See you later Lanie. Daniel." I turn around, swishing my hair in the process.

I walk down the hall and into my class. I take a seat in the back. The two desks next to me are empty. Eli and Shane aren't here yet. DING! The bell rings and both boys enter the class room just after it ends. They drift into the two empty desks on either side of me.

"Why were you both late? We got to school at the same time." I look at both of them.

"It's none of your buisness." Eli retorts.

"What? I just wanted to know where you were." I stare at him.

"You don't need to know our whereabouts 24/7." He glares at me.

"What the hell has gotten into you?" I glance at Shane.

"Eli stop it." At least he's being helpful, I think.

"Say outa this Shane. You're only being nice to her because you want to bang her." He snaps. I almost choke.

"Excuse me? Nobody's banging anything."

"Ms. Martin, is there a reason why you're not paying attention in my class?" Mr. Crawford questions. I said that a little more loudly than I had intended.

"I'm sorry." I lower my head. I hear a snicker coming from someone. I turn my head to see Daniel, Lanie's new boyfriend, laughing at me. I flip him off. He laughs even more. I slump in my chair and hunch over my textbook.

The period finally ends and I gather my stuff. I leave the room without a sideways glance. I head for Photo. My favorite class.

My thoughts keep wandering back to what Eli said about Shane wanting to have sex with me. Im not planning on doing it with anyone for a long, long, long, time. I can't help but wonder why Eli was acting the way he was. He was really nice to me at the house. Whatever. I'll ask Shane later. At least he might answer me.

**********

Time for lunch. I find Lanie sitting at our usual table in the back of the quad. Daniel's with her. I didn't even know that he was into her or that they had been talking. At all. I'm a little suspicious of it, but if Lanie's happy, then I guess I'm good.

As I walk to our spot, I see Noah and Spencer walking towards me. Their faces look nervous. They look weird coming down to the quad. I stroll up to them.

"Rae, you have to come. Eli's fighting Shane." Spencer breathes.

"WHAT? Where the hell are they?" I can't believe what they're telling me.

"Follow us." Noah leads the way.
