Life is a journey. There are struggles and pain. We fail and succeed. We fall and get up. We learn how to dance in the rain. Life is never easy so when the trials and storms of life come on our way, do think that God has a way and everything happens for a reason.

I asked for strength and I was made weak;
I was tossed in hardest situations,
I asked for health and I was made sick;
Dragged down into stormy conditions.
I asked for strength and I was made weak,
At first, I doubted
But then I realized,
I was made weak to become stronger,
I was made sick to rise up better.

I asked to have success in this life,
I was granted the taste of defeat
I was pushed into the place of strife,
Where I nearly decided to quit.
I asked to have success in this life
But I was given more failures
At first, I doubted
But then I realized
Success is not the great things you gain,
Success is how you overcome Pain.

I asked for friends that I may be happy
But I was surrounded by more foes,
I felt like a stranger, I was gloomy;
Bitterness is what my heart always shows.
I asked for friends that I may be happy
But unkind people were given to me
At first, I doubted
But then I realized
That in order for me to be happy,
I must learn to love my enemy.

I asked for things that I may appreciate life;
That I may live with purpose and meaning
And I was given a life
To appreciate all things!
At first, I doubted
But then I realized
That everything happens for a reason,
That everything comes with a good lesson.
