"Snake's Skin"
-
To win and sit on the throne is the aim,
The plan is to appear good in men's eyes
And add more pleasing fragrance to his name
So he invents stories and tells big lies.
He wants to catch the people's attention,
So he makes ways to create attraction;
Claiming that he's faithful in his service,
Boasting that he has fulfilled his duties.
He hides the truth and covers up the scene:
Trying to bury those anomalies,
There's a corrupt leader pretending clean.
-
He weaves some words and puts his foes to blame;
Wearing a mask, a deceptive disguise
His desires are nothing but wealth and fame,
His schemes are evil and his plans are wise.
That's why he dreams of a high position,
Increase in power; wider dominion.
He rolls his platforms and speak his promise,
That the poverty rate will soon decrease
There are dark motives why he wants to win,
It's a lie - country will not be at ease!
There's a corrupt leader pretending clean.
-
Politics is evil; a dirty game
It's where the politicians roll the dark dice
Nothing has changed, year by year, it's the same!
The elites laugh as the poor people cries.
They pull out their tricks during election,
And after this is graft and corruption.
The abused people still searching for peace,
The innocent men looking for justice.
The evil strategies are clearly seen,
Words are forgotten upon quick release.
There's a corrupt leader pretending clean.
-
My dear Philippines, behold what this is,
Your Children in the place of agonies!
O Truth and Honesty, where have you been?
There are men in snake's skin, awake, O please!
There's a corrupt leader pretending clean.
