So, apparently, Bobby is an old friend of my uncles' and my parent's. Apparently, our "monster hunting" history goes down for generations. Supposedly my mother and my uncles grew up being trained to hunt these things. But my mom wanted to live a normal life, with a normal job and a normal family. My parents married unaware that all they had ended up doing was wanting to spend the rest of their lives with a monster hunter. Yeah, that's right, my dad was one too. Or is one, I guess you could say. That is, if he's still alive. They weren't aware of each other's secret until their wedding night, when a so-called band of demons trashed the ceremony.

They attempted to live a normal life with a beautiful daughter, me. But different monsters from all over the globe would hunt them down and find them. We moved a lot while I was a kid. Apparently my parents were a big threat to everything supernatural. My mother and father's family were the most well known hunters in the United States. It turned out that Bobby wasn't too far behind on the creatures' most wanted list either.

The worst part was, I had to take all of this in inside a small diner in a town I had never even heard of before. Naturally, I didn't believe a word of it. But I didn't know why my uncles would lie to me, they never did before. But I guess if you counted the numerous amounts of times that they told me the monsters in my closet and under my bed weren't real, you could say they have.

"Let's just say for a second, I believe all of this nonsense." I reasoned. "Where are my parents?"

Bobby took his hat off and ran a hand through his grayed hair. "They were taken Annabeth."

I slammed my fist on the table," By who? Monsters?!"

The three men stared at me with morbid expressions.

"Do you realize how crazy this all is?! MONSTERS AREN'T REAL!" I shouted. I turned a few heads over by the kitchen area.

Sam reached out to me and calmly said," Annabeth, we can't afford for you not to believe us right now. You'll see soon enough. But please, just trust us."

I didn't sit down. I didn't calm down. I didn't trust them. Not anymore.

"Exactly what took my parents and why?" I demanded.

"We're not sure." Dean admitted. "But it's nothing like what we've dealt with in the past, and you're it's next target. Which is why we need to get you as far away from your home as we can."

I covered my face with my hands, then threw them down to my sides. "Do you realize how crazy this sounds?"

"Believe me," Sam said," we know."

I shook my head. "You're crazy. You're all crazy."

I stuffed my phone in my pocket and ran as fast as I could away from the booth and out the door.

"Annabeth!" Dean yelled.

"No!" Sam shouted in unison.

I didn't listen, I kept running. I didn't know where I was going, I just knew I wanted to get away from them. They belonged in an insane asylum. I loved them, and I wanted to believe in them. But I couldn't. Monsters? They had to be crazy.

I hurried around the corner of the diner and swiftly made my way along the backsides of the buildings. It was very dark outside. All I had to illuminate my surroundings were dim street lights and the full moon. I made my way farther away from the streetlights, as I knew my uncles would find me easily. Instead, I made my way towards the woods. It looked so frightening. I decided to stop at a hill that led up to the woods instead of actually entering it. I sat down and tried not to cry. It was getting to be very cold. The summer was quickly turning into the chilly season of fall. I tried to calm myself by thinking about school. I was only a few days in. I thought about my friends I had made throughout the last few years. Nevada was the longest place I had ever stayed in.
