I uncomfortably shifted in my seat as I sat between a Vampire and Anastasia. Niall, Louis, and Liam had all joined us not long after Anastasia and I joined Zayn, Jo, and Harry. I swear Zayn kept getting closer to me on purpose. I was staying pretty quiet. While the others were talking, Zayn leaned over to my ear.

"Your heart rate is uneven." He whispered.

I looked at him as boldly as I could.

"So are your eyebrows." I said, then turned away from him.

Zayn chuckled. He moved a finger up my arm.

"You're feisty. I like that." He murmured.

I shrugged him off and looked over at Anastasia who was also sitting there quietly while the others talked.

"Why did I have to sit by Zayn?" I mumbled.

"Why did I have to sit by Niall?" She spat through gritted teeth.

"We need to get out of here." I groaned quietly.

"It'll be fine." She assured me. "You're doing fine."

I crossed my arms and leaned back against the couch.

"I'm going to find something to eat." I announced, getting up from my seat.

"That's awesome." Niall said. "Bring something back for all of us."

"Sure." I replied, walking towards the kitchen.

When I entered the kitchen, I was tempted to get Anastasia and hide in the magical cabinet. But instead I opened it looking for snacks. I found pretzels and peanut butter. I opened the fridge to look for jelly and found grape flavored. It took me awhile to look through all the cabinets but I finally found plates. I went to go look for a knife to spread the substances on. I pulled open a drawer and found the silverware.

"Need help?" Someone asked in my ear. I yelped and whirled around. I collided with Harry's torso.

I must have jumped about three feet in the air. I whipped around and collided with Harry's chest. His hands caught my arms before I could stumble over.

"Jesus!" I exclaimed, catching my breath.

"No, Harry." He corrected slyly. I rolled my eyes. His eyes were intimidating, as if they were looking right through me and penetrating my soul.

I noticed that my breathing was still heavy, but it wasn't due to the slight scare. Harry made me really nervous. I could feel my heart beating fast, and I'm sure he could too.

"You might wanna put that away if you don't plan on killing me." Harry suggested.

I furrowed my eyebrows, not knowing what he meant. It was then I noticed that the silver knife I had been holding was pressed directly against his heart.

"S-sorry." I stuttered, quickly retracting the knife and looking away.

"Do I make you nervous?" He asked quietly. I looked back at him, his eyes searching me.

"I'm..not used to werewolves." I mumbled, turning away from him and working on the pretzel sandwiches.

Harry moved closer to me. I could feel his chest lightly touch my back. He moved some of my hair off my shoulder. His fingers ran along my bare skin. I froze under his touch.

"Aren't Sirens supposed to be..seductive?" He whispered against my ear, sending a tremble through my body.

Be confident, I reminded myself. Sirens are confident. But I wasn't. I was terrified of him. I was terrified of Zayn, of Niall, of Louis, of Liam, even of Jo.
