JAESON

Jaeson was on his way to his downtown office as usual to go over some case files that he decided to work on for the week. He was a little backed up with his work due to taking off for him and his wife to meet Rochelle and go on with the process for the surrogacy procedure, but today was his catch up day.

Jaeson was on the elevator alone, whistling to the tune that was playing in the background of the elevator, patiently waiting for the door to open at level thirty. The elevator made a ping sound and came to a complete stop. As the door opened, Jaeson exited the elevator with his briefcase in one hand and holding on to his Tom Ford tie in the other hand, preventing it from swinging back and forth while walking. When he turned the corner, his receptionist, Lisa was walking towards him in the opposite direction with a pile of manila folders in her hand. Jaeson had stopped in his tracks and before he could impose to help, Lisa had already noticed and left no room for him to speak. "No worries, Mr. Coventry. I got it." she said as she smiled while walking to her desk that stood a few away from them.

Jaeson turned to face Lisa's direction. "Are you sure?" he asked.

"Yeah, I'm fine. I actually have some messages for you and you have a visitor. Be in your office in five?" Lisa asked accordingly while dropping the manila folders on her desk.

Jaeson's face frowned in curiosity. "Visitor? Who could that be?"

"She said her name was Rochelle Rodriguez?" Lisa threw up her hands in an "I dont know" motion, giving the impression that she wasnt sure who the woman was and why she was here. "She's in the lobby downstairs waiting for you to arrive."

"Ok, bring her up in five minutes when you come to my office, please?" Jaeson demanded while walking away to his office.

"You got it." Lisa responded as she sat down at her desk.

Jaeson continued down a long hallway where there stood rows of cubicles on his left and right with people chatting on the phone. Jaeson nodded at every person he passed with a friendly smile, knowing that the firm was still running successfully while he was gone for a couple of days. At the end of the hallway, there stood a wooden door with a name tag hanging precisely in the middle of it labeled, "Jaeson Coventry. Defensive Lawyer. Partner."

He walked up to the door, pulled out his set of keys out of his Tom Form dress pants pocket, and unlocked the door. When he opened the door, he hadnt turned the lights on yet, but he could clearly see a woman sitting on the couch that faced the entrance. Jaeson wasnt afraid at all. A little startled, but not afraid. In fact, he was curious as of how a woman got into his office without a key. He was the only one that had access to his office, unless he left it open to make an errand in the building.

Jaeson's face turned into confusion as he switched the light on that stood next to him on his left side. "Rochelle, how did you get in here?" he asked as he threw his briefcase onto his desk, still standing behind his desk.

Lauren or as you can say "The New Rochelle" had stayed put on the couch. Smiling and calmingly enjoying the intruding of Jaeson's office. "Oh, I had someone let me in if that's ok with you?"

Jaeson smirked out of the corner of his mouth. "That's impossible. I'm the only person that has a key."

"Oh, well I guess you're not the only one with a key to your office. You should definitely investigate that." Lauren got up from the couch and walked over to the shelf in the corner and began to admire all of Jaeson's awards and certificates that sat up proudly. She began to read all of the awards out loud.

"Certificate for Great Partnership. Jaeson Coventry. For A Defensive Lawyer Who Never Lost A Case. Jaeson Coventry. Great Acknowledgement Award From The Mayor of Cloverdale. Jae-"
