AFRA"She did WHAT!?" Afra yelled with her office phone to her ear while sitting at her desk. She did not believe what she just heard.
"I'm serious, babe. She came into my office somehow without a key. She was sitting in my office on the couch, in the dark at that." Jaeson confessed calmly as he could. He knew that at this point Afra was fuming. The only woman that was allowed in his office was his secretary, Lisa and his very own wife.
"And why did she come over there in the first place?" Afra's attitude grew stronger. It was a lot going on in the office, but hearing this from her husband made things a little more stressful.
"She said she wanted to personally thank me and you for choosing her as our surrogate mother and-" Jaeson paused. He was always upfront and honest with Afra, but he didnt want to tell her that there was gifts involved.
"Go on." she responded in a sassy mood.
"-and she offered me a bottle of Moet." Jaeson cooed to break it to Afra gently.
"A BOTTLE OF MOET!?" Afra yelled in a questioning manner. She instantly lowered her tone after she saw some worker outside the glass window of her office staring at her. "Who does she think she is?" she asked while getting up to close the blinds of her windows. "See Jae, this woman didnt even conceive yet and she's already starting problems. If you dont straighten this out before the procedure, I will! And I mean it" Afra's teeth gritted in anger as she paced back in forth in her 3,000 square foot office. Who did Rochelle think she is? She thought she could come to her husband's office announced and on top of that, offer him a bottle of Moet? That was definitely inappropriate and things needed to be handled before they went too far.
Jaeson made a deep sigh, "Babe, maybe you're blowing this out of proportion. Rochelle has been going through some things lately. Remember the abusive relationship she talked about? Maybe she just appreciate the friendless from another man, plus, although she came off a little weird, she is a nice woman. Dont cut her off so soon."
"Jaeson?" Afra called out while easing back down in her office chair.
"Yeah, babe," he responded.
"I dont know about this woman. I'm starting to get suspicious, but you're right. She is a nice lady and she has been through some things so I guess I could give her two more strikes."
Jaeson chuckled. There was always three strikes and you're out type of strategy when it came to Afra. "The three strike thing again, babe?"
"Yeah, and I mean it. You bet-"
"Mrs. Coventry, do you have a moment to go over the new business plan for the project?" Sarah asked while waltzing in the doorway with a few papers in hand.
Afra acknowledged that Sarah had came in and lowered the phone from her ear. "Yeah, Sarah. Just sit right there for a moment and we can discuss it." Afra pointed to the burgundy futon styled sofa that sat next to the entrance of her office. Lisa did what she was told and waited for Afra to end the call.
Afra pulled the phone back to her ear, "Babe? I have to go. Talk to her!" She exclaimed after putting the phone on the hook, not caring if Jaeson had more words to exchange.
"So how's the business plan going?" Afra asked while removing some papers off of her desk.
Sarah walked over and handed over the business plan to Afra. Afra took it and started to examine it for herself. She took a pen from her pen holder and began crossing some things out that she didnt like.
"No."
"Uh uh."
"Ok."
"Oh no!"
