LAUREN
I was in my sister's foyer, standing there with my head held down. She was staring back at me with her arms crossed over her chest as if she was trying to figure out what was I doing at her house so late and how did I find her. Little did she know, I've been looking for Sarah as long as I can remember and when I got a phone call from a private investigator that I had hired that she was living in Uptown Cloverdale, I knew it was too good to be true. My lover and my sister all in one town was a little bit of a coincidence, but i didn't care. I found the only family I had besides Susan and that's all that mattered.

"What are you doing here and how did you find me?" Sarah asked as she stood a few feet away from me.

I waited to respond, but the silence  inside the foyer irritated Sarah, "are you going to answer me?" She asked again.

"Is this how you welcome your sister?" I chuckled in denial of the question that was asked of me.  "I've been around. I just came to Cloverdale not too long ago. Ive been looking all over for you and I've found you."

Sarah walked up to me slowly and embraced me so tightly. The hug she gave me showed that she cared and she missed me too. She released the embrace and stared at me like the 12-year-old Sarah I remembered. "I'm glad you found me because I've been looking for you too."

I smiled at Sarah and she smiled back, then she looked down at me still holding the big black bag of clothing I packed from off of the street. I walked into the living room, dragging the bag along with me and as I thrashed myself into the couch I made out a big sigh. Sarah had no idea how far I walked from my studio apartment to Uptown Cloverdale. Since it was late, public transportation had closed and the hour walk in the dark was dreadful.

"What's up with the bag?" Sarah asked as she walked into the living room to clean up the popcorn off of the couch.

"All of my clothes." I said nonchalantly.

Sarah's face cringed in confusion, "Clothes?"

"Yeah, I was kicked out of my apartment today."

Sarah stopped what she was doing, "And how did that happen?"

"Please, Sarah. I don't have time for all of these questions. I've had a long day and all im asking if your sister can crash here for awhile while I figure some things out." I said in irritation. I hated when Sarah asked me questions at the wrong times. Interrogation was not what I was expecting when I arrived here.

"Don't have time for questions? Crash here? Angie, I haven't seen you for years and you expect me for you to  just waltz in here with a big bag of clothes and say 'yes, I would love for you to stay here. We can pick up from where we left off.'" Said Sarah as she sarcastically mimicked being happy.

"Well you left me alone, Sarah! When those cops were after me, you helped them! And because of you, I spent 3 years in a mental institution. I spent those three years hating you, resenting that I could ever trust you, but I forgave you. I guess I made the wrong decision." I got up out of the couch and grabbed my bag, beginning to make my way to the door.

"Angie, wait!" Sarah yelled as she sped to the foyer to stop me. "You can stay here, but you have to promise me something."

"What?" I asked in annoyance.

"You have to tell me what happened to you after you left. I could really use some closure. You were the only one I had. When we left the foster home, I didn't want to leave with no else, but you because we promised we would always stay close. Sisters forever." Sarah began to shed a tear. She turned away from Lauren because she didn't want her to see how much it hurt for her to move on with her life without her sister. She was alone all of these years. She had no one.

"Ok, I'll tell you, but you have to promise me that you keep this between you and I. No one can ever know." I demanded in seriousness. There was a lot of things apart of my life that Sarah had missed and I wasn't sure what to leave in or out.

DETECTIVE DON GARDENS

"What do you got for me?" Don asked as he examined the  pictures of blood splatter on his desk.

"Boss, we believe that Rochelle Rodriguez knew her killer. There was no sign of forced entry, no missing valuables, and no sign of self defense. It all makes sense. This was definitely a homicide." the officer said while standing in the doorway of Don's office.

"Well, did you guys find the murder weapon at least?" Don sighed in frustration. He had been assigned to the murder on 1405 Perring Park Avenue and had been working extremely hard to find the killer. It had been three days and there were still no leads on the case, which was unlike Don because he was always on top of his A game.

"No, sir. From the stab wound on Rodriguez's throat, the medical examiner believe it was made by a pocket knife. The examiner did find some blood at the scene that didn't belong to Rochelle. They identified who the blood belongs to as well."

Don stopped examining the pictures on his desk as if he was satisfied at what he was hearing. He looked up at the officer and frowned his brow at him. " And who's is it?" He asked.

The officer looked at the paper of blood results in his hand and back at Detective Gardens. "The results came up as the blood belonging to a woman named, Lauren Summers."

"Yes!" Don exclaimed in excitement. "We have a lead! Get everything on that woman. From her work history, addresses, anything you can find. I mean anything."

"You got it, Detective." The officer said as he walked out of Detective Garden's doorway.
