SARAHSarah was in her living room relaxing on the sofa from a day's work. The living room was dark and the only source of light came from her sixty inch flat screen t.v. She was snuggled in a white linen blanket with her silk pajamas underneath. Usually after a long day at work, Sarah spent her evenings binging on her favorite television show, "Revenge", a bowl of popcorn, and a Natty Boh. It was her only satisfaction of getting away from answering phone calls and running errands for Afra all day. Although the job was starting to take a toll on her, she thought working for Afra was pretty cool once she got to know her a little bit more from their short conversation in her office. Sarah thought maybe if they had these conversations more often, they could be good friends and make both of their jobs more at ease, but she highly doubted it. Afra never mixed her business with friendship and Sarah was completely ok with it.
Sarah was on the last episode of season four. The episode where the main character, Emily had found out that her vendetta and horrible ex mother-in-law, Victoria had escaped from the mental institution. She was deeply moved by the story by the way she cringed up in her seat with the bowl of popcorn in her hand. The cliffhanger was just about to reveal itself when she jumped at the knocking at the door.
"Damn it. I need to stop watching these shows late at night." she sighed dryly. She looked around to search for the remote that controlled the lighting in the room. The darkness around her began to spook her out.
"On the next episode of Revenge..." the television announced.
The knocking on the door was even louder than before.
KNOCK! KNOCK! KNOCK!
"I'm coming!" Sarah yelled while searching for the lighting remote. She shifted the cover around her and the remote had dropped to the floor below her feet. She picked it up, brightened the living room area, then headed for the door to see who was banging so obnoxiously this late at night.
Sarah peeked through her peep hole. She couldnt really tell who it was because the peep hole was foggy from the night's humidity. She only saw a woman with bronze stringy hair, a big black bag, and the body language of a lost, scary woman.
Sarah opened the door slightly. She squinted her eyes to see, but the fog outside was too strong. "Can I help you, ma'am?" she asked in a shaky voice.
"Sarah?" the woman questioned as she stepped closer to the door way. "It's me."
The fog disseappered from her view and she could now see the woman that stood in front of her clearly. "Angie?" Sarah questioned.
"Yeah, it's me. I need your help." Lauren cried.
"Of course, come in." Sarah said while stepping out of the door way. She watched her long lost sister of 15 years walk slowly into the foyer. She wasnt sure to feel happy or upset, but there were a lot of questions to be answered.
