DETECTIVE DON GARDENS

Don had not slept in three days, considering the fact that he had been working on the Rodriguez case and found some interesting facts about Lauren Summers. He continuously tried to deny that Lauren Summers could possibly be Jaeson's biological sister. If she was, he wondered how come Jaeson never told him? Jaeson and Don had been best friends since high school, so why would he keep something like this from him?

Don tried to find excuses so he could give Jaeson the benefit of the doubt of not telling him this family secret, "maybe he just didnt know." he thought. It was too much of a coincidence that Lauren was a Coventry by blood and Jaeson and Afra was tied to Rochelle. Rather if Jaeson knew of this or not, Don still had to investigate on his own to tie Lauren to the murder.

He had spent all day in the precinct, gathering information about the Coventry's background, trying to tie it to Lauren's history. He discovered that Lauren was indeed born on April 14, 1986 by Bennett and Donna Coventry, two years after Jaeson was born. Lauren's birth name was Angie Naomi Coventry. It was recorded in the hospital records that Lauren was born with a birth defect, and Donna and Bennett disapproved of it. They gave Lauren up to foster care when she was only three days old, forgetting that she ever existed. Lauren had been in five foster homes in total, including Susan Grant's house.

Twelve years later, Lauren's first offense was aggravated assault by beating a 13-year-old boy with a metal baseball bat followed by another charge 3 months later for stalking. Don was astounded by the amount of chargers under Lauren's name, so he decided to dig for more. After the charge of stalking, she was charged for breaking and entering, domestic violence, and multiple counts of more aggravated assaults and stalking up to the age of 28. And after that, it was if she didn't exist or moved into another dimension.

Just as Don wanted to give up, he typed in Donna's name to find her address. Bennett had passed away five years ago and Don hadn't spoke to Donna since the funeral. With all of the money Bennett left behind, Donna could have relocated anywhere. He scrolled down the web browser for five minutes or more and he finally found what he was looking for, "Yes!" Don yelled in excitement, "now let's see what I can find here." he said curiously while writing down the address on his notepad. He discovered that Donna still lived in Cloverdale, but in a suburb called Coral Park where all the rich lawyers, doctors, and engineers spent their spare time in their 2 million dollar mansions.

Don had swiftly stuffed his notepad with the address on it into his uniform jacket, grabbed his car keys, and proceeded to leave the precinct. On his way out, one of his police cadets stopped him as if there was something important Don needed to hear, "Boss! I believe I got some bad news," the young cadet announced.

"What is it, Kelly?" Don scolded. He was in a definite hurry and he didn't have time to respond to a report that was either useless or irrelevant.

"Lauren Summers has killed again. We found her DNA at a home in uptown Cloverdale that belonged to Sarah Wenderbelt," the young cadet stuttered while trying to stuff the police report in  Don's hand.

Don snatched the paper from the cadet's hand and scanned it with his piercing eyes. Twenty seconds later, Don had grew angry and threw the paper into the cadet's chest, "when the hell was anyone gonna tell me that Sarah was dead yesterday?!" Don yelled once again, gaining everyone's attention in the precinct, "Lauren is my suspect and she's out killing again and I'm just finding out today?"

"I-I'm sorry, sir, but-"

Before the intimated police cadet could give an explanation, Don was out of the door with better business to attend to.

"Jaeson, we need to talk! I'm so scared and I don't know what to do!" A voice said in a frantic manner on the other end.
