Dan's POV

I looked up from my phone when I heard the London stop called. It was slow getting out because practically everyone was trying to get out here, I mean it is a huge city and the capital of England. I shuffled slowly to the door as one by one people fled out into the even more crowded train station.

Once I had finally made my way out of the train, I stood around awkwardly. I have no clue what Phil looks like or if he is picking me up... I don't know his address either, otherwise I could take a taxi. What am I supposed to do?

This day has just been horrible to me, hasn't it? I woke up late, I didn't straighten my hair, I had to run to make the train, and I am now stuck at the train station. This is why I have trust issues with the world.

I realized with a start that I have his number and I can just call him. My brain doesn't work this early, ugh. I grab my phone and go to his contact.

Calling: Sunshine🌞

This stupid, stupid guy wasn't picking up his stupid phone! I'm freaking trapped here at the train station and I have no idea where to go. I always get way too worked up and I didn't want to break down in front of so many people, so I take a deep breath. I close my eyes and pretend to let all the ice shrouding my veins melt away and the fire burning in my head cool down.

I open my eyes and look at the situation with a new light. I could sit here and wait and worry about Phil or I could walk around and feed my rumbling stomach and explore. I pull my backpack on more and start walking straight into the crowds of people.

I loved to look at a certain person and think about how they have a completely different life from me. They have a different perspective on life, they have a different personality, they have different friends, and they have different stories. They all have a reason to be in the mood they are and it fascinates me.

Like the woman passing right next to me with a smile on her face and a pretty dress hugging her body. She could be heading to see her child for the first time in a week or she could have just gotten a huge promotion in her job. She could be a complete optimist who has a great outlook on life and always find the best in everything.

We could be complete opposites and I will probably never know, because she is gone. She walked right on by me, right on with her life. Everyone is different and unique and I just want to meet everybody and learn their stories and why they are like they are because it just fascinates me.

Oops, while I was thinking about all the people I had passed through the huge crowd where everyone was trying to get to their destination and now I was standing on the other side of the huge cavern like train station.

I shake my head to clear the fogginess of worry and head to a staircase that leads up to the real world.

Phil's POV

I sit down and smile. There was a little kitten in my house! I had finally found my culprit and he couldn't be any cuter. I wasn't exactly sure how he had gotten into my window as I was on the second floor of the building but I'm not complaining!

The little cutie was all black and had bright green eyes. He let me sit close to him and I reached a hand out to him tentatively so that he wouldn't scratch me or get scared. The little kitty reached out to sniff my hand and bowed his head. I knew that I could pet him, and I did. His fur wasn't very soft and coated in dirt but it was still nice.

I picked him up slowly and for some reason, he let me. He fit perfectly into the palm of my hand and he couldn't have been older than 2 months. He was adorable and I couldn't stop awwing mentally and out loud. I couldn't help but feel like I had forgotten something but I just ignored it as I pet the cat slowly.
