After about two hours I decided to take a dinner break. It wasn't very good yet, it was only the beginning shapes of the trees, I'll finish those up and put outlines with the darker brown and add bark details. I mean, the details will be well placed squiggles and spirals, but that is what bark looks like. The leaves will be a bit harder, I'll start with just putting the middle shade of green down and then use the others for shading. This will seriously take some time, seeing as I'll have to add edges and stuff. But it's nothing that I can't handle! Yeah, I got this!
Well, it will have to be a late dinner. Ten thirty, a great time to have dinner. I have to wake up early tomorrow to open up at work, might as well just stay up painting and just avoid sleep. Seems fun. I should play some music while painting, it'll help me get more in the mood.
I made a peanut butter sandwich and quickly finished it, drinking a Dr. Pepper. I headed into my room again, smiling that I only needed to paint the base for about three more trees before I start bark design where I began. It should be dry by now anyways, so it'll all work out! I set down my Dr. Pepper on the floor alongside where I was working and began painting again. I used the same brush, dipping it into the paint. I'm about halfway through the second light brown paint can, meaning if I make mistakes I can paint over it!
I happily finished up and sealed the rest of the light brown, grabbing a thinner brush for details and opened the darker brown over on the other side of the room. I turned on some random songs, outlining the trees and adding details. It took about three hours to finish half of the room with details, but damn it looked good! Multiple empty cans of Dr. Pepper littered about the room, some toppled over.
I sighed and looked at what was finished for a second, getting a quick break. I smiled contently and turned back around, continuing the strenuous work. I eventually finished the bark at about Five in the morning, looking at the mostly empty shades of brown. I set down my paintbrushes on a paper towel and grabbed some clothes out of my closet, getting ready for work.
__________Time Skip!________________
I ran out quickly with the keys for the shoppe, wearing a pair of jeans and a white t-shirt. Normal, plain looking outfit. I also quickly grabbed a hoodie, it was soft and had a light green body with white sleeves and a white hood. I pulled it over my arms while heading down the stairs, rushing down at a pace that I wouldn't fall and would still get there quickly. I had underestimated how much longer I took when I was tired. I'm supposed to be at the shoppe in five minutes and the walk takes six, so I'll be running slightly.
I jogged out of the building, tapping my foot mercilessly and crossing my arms whenever I had to stop for the light. I automatically bolted as soon as the light changed, reaching the store with two minutes to spare! Yes! I quickly unlocked the door and went in panting as if I was late to a high school class! I made it on time! Time to get to work!
