Antonio waved me out the door as I headed out, smiling softly. The city seemed to be abuzz yet again, people talking endlessly to one another, in person and on the phone. Some were fighting, some were speaking excitedly, some with affection. The mix of emotions and liveliness within this section of town was usually always there, never ending. It seemed to be a hot spot if you lived or worked near by to eat and buy gifts for people. It was lined with coffee shoppes, thrift stores, eateries, and small tables and chairs. It was a beautiful place really, most of the people threw away their trash to keep it that way.

I took in each passing sight and looked into the windows of stores, almost putting a little tab on some that I might want to check out some other time. The bar was a slightly far walk, but I didn't care. Based off of recent events, I seriously need to get more exercise than the small amount I've been getting walking to work. Just around a few more corners, and, AHA!

I looked up at the building I had been searching for. It wasn't as well known, but it was cleaner than other places and gladly wasn't swarmed with newly of age idiots trying to get drunk. Walking into the pub I saw Francis, talking to another stranger and fixing them a drink. He didn't seem to notice me walking in, so I sat at the farthest bar stool and waited, smiling nearly unnoticably so I wouldn't get questioned to death by the frog.

He handed the customer their drink and looked around, visibly perking up a bit when he noticed me sitting there. He practically skipped over and placed his head on the bar top in front of me, smiling like an idiot.

"What's the story morning glory? How is Alfred? Anything new happen?"

I snorted and scrunched my nose up at him,"God damn it Francis! You know what, I don't care if you tease me for this next thing but eh. Can I have a Shirley Temple? I mean, it's good and it's non-alcoholic. Anyways, things have happened recently"

I've never seen Francis make a drink quicker before in his life,"Tell me everything Anglettere! What is the new information? I need to know absolutely everything! About Alfred, you should give me his phone number so I can find out everything about him!"

"Part of the story, if you will ever shut up, is you might be able to ask him everything in person and soon. He's coming over in.. two days? Yeah, sounds right. And he is veeeeerrryy loud. Anyway, here is his number if you want it that bad. Just introduce yourself with name and that you are my frenemy of sorts so he doesn't get confused. Or that you are my mother, you seem to act like that enough.", I sighed and took a sip of the seemingly girly drink in front of me, "And another thing, re-"

"Wait, I love hearing all this, but is that the sweater I bought you? From Forever 21? As a joke?",He asked, trying to contain his laughter.

I smirked up at, oddly confident,"Yes it is, and you know I look good in it. So, deal with it. It's comfy"

At this Francis near lost it, he nearly toppled over laughing. Multiple other patrons looked over at him for a second before ignoring it, making me want to shrink. Gross, attention. Why do people want attention? It's scary.

Francis straightened up, wiping a fake tear from his eye, "Anyways, go on."

I explained what happened at work with Amelia and finished off my drink, having to pause occasionally when he had to attend to another customer. I told him about a few mundane things as well, like my cats. Along with a rant about not being able to cook in my own house, since last time I almost burned down the building if the firemen didn't get there in time.

Eventually I had to head back to work, saying goodbye to Francis and stepping out onto the sidewalk.
