Nothing Was Ever The Same

A month has passed by already . My gunshot wound is healed and I'm getting better emotionally. Its Amelia and Tia first year in school.Since its Rico last week here ,we're going to dinner tonight.Lately me and Aubrey been distance because he's been traveling which is normal during this time. I just finish getting Ali dressed then I got dressed.Rico and I waited on José and Tia. After ten I walked to the car I buckled Amelia and Tia up then I drove to the restaurant which was downtown Toronto.

Right before I walked in the restaurant Aubrey called me. I stood outside by the door .

Aubrey:Hey what you doing?
Me:Im outside a restaurant right now,Whats up?
Aubrey:Im going to fly you out to Los Angeles this weekend is that cool?
Me:yeah why didn't you tell me this earlier I got the kids clothes together along with my stuff.
Aubrey:You act like I meant to be late with the shit.I'll have someone pick you up tomorrow.
Me:ok bye.
Aubrey:wait,Are you ok?
Me:yeah,Just because I was in coma doesn't mean I'm handicap.
Aubrey:Talk to you later stop being a smart ass.

I hung up then I walked into the restaurant and I sat down at the table.Ali was still sleep in his seat I unbuckled his belt and I opened his jacket so he wouldn't be hot.The girls were coloring on their kids menu.

Rico:You alright?
Me:yeah , I have to pack up for the weekend.Because we're  going to Los Angeles.
José:Why are we going?
Me:Aubreys concert there and he want to see Ali .I can't leave you here after what happened.
José:I'll just go visit my cousins once we get in L.A. I dont want to be a party pooper.
Me:Your not a party pooper I have to make sure your going to ok.

Amelia:Mommy look what I did.
Me:Melia that's beautiful.

Ali started crying I picked him up.and I took him to the bathroom to change his diaper and feed him.

While I fed him a little girl walked up to me and looked at me.

"Mommy look shes feeding the baby ?"

I smiled then I look at Ali he just stared at me we looked at each other.

Me:hey baby boy.

He had enough to eat so I burped him then I walked back to the table.

José:Ali just smiling.
Me:He's smiling more and more everyday.

We ordered our food then we continued talking.

Me:So Rico are you going to model in Texas now?
Rico:yeah I like it actually.But I'm traveling right now.
José:Texas is so fun.
Rico:Its lit.

Rico picked Ali up.

Rico:I want a kid-
José:better not be anytime soon.
Rico:nah I gotta find a girl first.
José:you havent been getting no girls number.
Rico:girls now a days got high standards.
José:Yeah I know a few of those.

We laughed then the waitress brought our food over.

We ate our food then we paid for our food.I put Ali's coat on and I buckled him up .And I made sure Amelia had her jacket on right.Then I put my jacket on.

Me:ready to go to the airport?
Rico:yeah.
José:Awhh We're gonna miss you.
Rico:Imma miss y'all too.

We buckled all the kids in Amelia and Tia were in the third row of José Cadillac Escalade.

Me:everybody ready?

Everybody said yeah at the same time.I drove to the airport then I dropped Rico off.I drove back home I got Ali out his seat and I opened the door and José got the girls.I took my coat off and I got the baby out of his carseat.Its still kind of weird that I have another little kid.I have to wake up at twelve in the morning just to feed him .But I'm glad he only uses the bathroom when he wakes up.I carried Ali upstair with me and I walked into Amelia's room Amelia was playing with her toys.

Me:Baby girl can you get five outfits out were going out of town tomorrow.
Amelia:underwear too?
Me:yes ,when you finish come bring them to me.
Amelia:ok mommy?

I walked to my room ran some bath water for Ali. I grabbed Ali pajamas and washed Ali up. I sat Ali in his chair and I packed Ali's clothes up with twenty five diapers. Then I started packing my clothes which was mostly sundresses a swimming suit and some shorts and a few shirts.Amelia walked in the room soon as I sat down with Ali on my chest.

Amelia:mommy heres my clothes.

She pulled in her dolls wagon full of clothes.I couldnt help but laugh because it was cute.she sat the clothes down on the bed.I sorted through them and I put all her clothes together with mine and Ali's.Then I got the shoes together.

Amelia:mommy where are we going?
Me:Los Angeles.
Amelia:Ok.
Me:Thats where Disneyland is.
Amelia:can we go?
Me: yes baby.

I looked at Ali he was sleep.I gently laid him down next to me.

Me:Amelia go run your bath water.
Amelia:ok mommy.
