Hazel rushed over to the bed and grabbed her backpack. She dug through it, and found her phone. She dialed a number quickly and put it's volume all the way down.

"Get in the bathroom, and stay there no matter what you hear." Hazel orders.

"You're insane." I say reaching for her sword.

"No, this person outside is. He's after you, you need to stay safe." She orders grabbing the sword from my grasp.

I give her a desperate look and she reacts by saying, "I've got this. Ash is on the phone. He'll know to send help."

I grab the phone out of her hand and touch the screen.

"Ash!" I whisper into the phone.

"What's wrong?" He demands.

"Get help. Someone's after me. Chase will explain. Be careful." I quickly fill in.

"Are you hurt? Is Hazel okay?!" He demands as rustling fills the phone's speaker.

"We're fine for now. Hurry up, though." Hazel snaps.

"You have five minutes to decide." The scratchy voice called from the other side of the door.

"You hear that?" I whisper.

"On it." Ash responds before hanging up.

Hazel pointed to the bathroom door, but I refused. She started to push me, but I reversed her grasp and gave her a determined look. She rolled her eyes and threw me a knife. I caught it in my left hand and slipped it into my back pocket. I grabbed my bow and a couple of arrows and stood in the corner of the room, facing the door. I put the arrow in the shelf and said a little prayer as I counted the seconds go by. Suddenly, Hazel's phone buzzed to life. I grabbed it before she could even react, and there was a text from Ash.

Get out of there now! He's a demon bounty-hunter. The Board is coming, but they don't think they'll be there in time! -A

"Hazel!" I whisper.

Her eyes scan over the text, and her face turns a pale white color. We both knew demon bounty-hunters are the most dangerous creatures out there. They are paid with souls to kill, or capture somebody. They're ruthless, causing more casualties than anything else. Since it was in it's pure form, Hazel and I couldn't fight it. You need pure angel blood to dip your weapon in and salt the edges of it, in order to kill a fully turned demon. Sage and Holy water helps, but we didn't have any of that stuff with us now. Suddenly, Hazel's expression glowed up. She ran back to her backpack and pulled out a spray can. She dove onto the floor and began spraying an ancient Devil's Trap. We only had fifty seconds left, and she couldn't rush the process. I grabbed the rug from the bathroom and waited to cover it. Only five more seconds, and I had a feeling the demon was keeping track of time. Hazel finished the last symbol and I threw the carpet over it and chucked Hazel's spray can away. Suddenly, the door busted open and there stood a demon with blood-shot eyes and black, dry skin. It's human body was decaying, making it's appearance that much more terrifying. It used it's powers to thrust Hazel against the wall roughly. I went to help her, but suddenly my throat began closing in on itself. I choked for air, but nothing came in or out. I was suddenly thrown against the bed and the demon was standing over me. He chuckled as I struggled for oxygen. My head was throbbing and my lungs were burning. Tears formed in my eyes as I watched the demon enjoy my pain. I somehow managed to look at Hazel, who was unconscious on the floor. The demon stepped closer and the pressure on my throat somehow increased. Black spots appeared, covering most of my vision. My head was pounding hard, pushing me towards a painless sleep. The demon stepped closer once more, and I lost all feeling. My fingers and toes tingled as my lungs shut down and my head fogged up. Without warning, the demon was on the ground and I was free. I gasped for air as I caught sight of a boy in the doorway. His hand was gesturing towards the demon, who was laying on the ground, looking as if he was being pushed against it. I grabbed the demon's clothing and shoved him into the invisible barrier around the Devil's Trap. He fell to the ground once more and I rushed to Hazel. I felt her pulse, it was pumping. I let out a few coughs to try to regain the oxygen I lost. Then, the boy who had somehow used his powers on the demon approached me. I quickly jumped towards my bow and placed an arrow in the shelf and he put his hands into a surrender position. Suddenly, I was being thrown to the ground along with my bow, too far for me to reach. Before I could react, the boy was on top of me and his hand was over my face. Was he trying to use magic on me?! I flipped him onto his back and pinned him down. He made a loud thud and grunted frustratedly. I grabbed his t-shirt and was about to hit him when a hand caught mine.
