The crowd simmered down into a tense silence. A plan suddenly formed in my mind. I jumped from my branch to the ground, making a thump noise. The entire crowd turned their attention to me. Suddenly an arm wrapped around me and pulled me back.

"Are you insane?!" Cade whispers in my ear.

"Yes. I have a plan. You're either with me or you're not." I quickly tell Cade.

"Who's there?!" A man shouts into the woods.

"I can't let you do this." Cade whispers.

"I know." I whisper getting into position.

At that moment the werewolf bursted through his human form and a wolf emerged from the torn clothes. Cade grabbed me and dragged me up the tree. I fought out of his grasp and aimed my bow. I watched as one of the humans was torn. Their intestines were ripped and blood gushed everywhere. Pink and red chunks of human parts flew through the air. Shivers ran up and down my spine and the lack of food made my stomach begin to rumble. I felt my body begin to shake from the awful things I had just witnessed. I reach for my bow and loaded an arrow into the shelf. I released the arrow and heard the sound of the silver penetrate the skin of the werewolf. I flinched slightly as it fell to the cold ground. The humans were long gone. I dropped my arm and let my bow fall to the ground. I fell into Cade and hugged him tightly. My emotions began overtaking me and I let a single tear fall before Cade reached down to my face. He cradled me before coming extremely close to my face. Before I knew what I was doing, I leaned into Cade. He immediately turned his head and pulled from my grasp. I exhaled sharply, biting my lip.

"Jake? Ivy! Jay?!" I call into the darkness.

"We're all here." I hear Jay call back.

"You almost got yourself killed." Cade said supporting me down the tree.

"But somehow I walk away from a situation again and others wound up torn to shreds." I snap shoving my shoulder into him and pushing past.

"It's called survivors guilt." Jay says appearing from the darkness.

"Doll?" I call into the trees.

"Here." She says faintly.

I climb up her tree and sit with her quietly. Surprisingly, that was the last werewolf we saw that night. I eventually fell asleep next to Doll after treating her wounds. Her bleeding stopped and her color returned. I woke up to Jake walking up to the tree. I shot up and it was mid-day. Jake gently shook Doll and she rolled over onto me. I chuckled before shaking her shoulders. She opened her eyes and jumped at the sight of me.

"Ahh!" She screams.

"What?" I ask.

She crawls away from me quickly before falling. Jake luckily is there to catch her.

"What the heck?" Jay demands.

"Sh-she. Her face!" She screams.

I feel my face, but Jay rolls her eyes.

"It's hallucinations." She says sassily.

Doll looked at Jake's face and reacted the same.

"Great." Jay says with an eye roll.

"Doll, it's okay. You're just seeing things." Ivy says calmly.

"Ivy." Doll repeats in a whisper.

"Yes!" Ivy exclaims.

"It's okay. Everyone is okay." Jake says gently.

"Did you call in for transport?" I ask the team.
