Alora's POV
"W-what?" I sputtered out, my eyes wide and mind going in over-drive.
That was not happening, absolutely fucking not! I refuse to let it!
I know it wasn't supposed to be a big thing since all the teenagers' did it around the world but I wasn't normal.
I couldn't wear a freaking uniform made up of skirts and freaking ties and blazers!
If you hadn't noticed, I despise dressing up.
I'm known for my simple or skinny jeans and oversized tops, finished up with sneakers or dr. martins and a high ponytail or a messy bun.
Not to mention or anything but I have finished my studies. I don't need two high school degrees, thank you very much.
For God's sake, I just got rid of those God awful SATS last year.
And what the hell?
Company events? Even he goes only on the ones where the board members or new investors are appearing and he wants me to visit all?
Ok, I know he didn't say 'all' but you see, he considers his event appearances as once a year when in reality he atleast goes to half of them so, by some he actually means skipping only a few.
Oh my God! This is worse than seven circles of hell.
"You're going to some company event for one year—"
"Yea, I heard what you said. Let me rephrase what I meant, what the actual fuck?"
I cleared it up for him, being the good sister I was and he still does this.
What did I ever do to him?!! I've never even killed any of his pets except for that goldfish a long time ago when we were little and it was an accident, I swear!
"Language, Alora!" he scolded before composing himself and continuing, "It's simple really. There's nothing not to understand in it."
He checked the time on his Rolex or whatever new hell expensive brand out there is that he was wearing and frowned.
"It's not simple, Travon!" I exclaimed. "I'm not doing it, especially the private school since I have my degree."
"I don't have much time, I have a meeting in 20 minutes and then lunch with Cadence so, we will make this quick, yea? Compromise." He said, raising his eyebrows as if expecting me to bow down and kiss his feet by accepting his oh- so- generous offer of private school.
"I'm not compromising shit. I help with the company already. I don't need to do anymore." I stated, crossing my arms.
It was true, I helped the CFO of our company.
There had been days when I hadn't slept trying to figure out some problems and Travon knew that.
"It's called punishment for a reason." He snapped. "Now, compromise because I know you aren't going to accept it like this."
"Then why did you state it in the first freaking place?" Muttering, I shook my head and thought for some time.
"Fine, I'll go to events but only once in three months and no school." I settled.
He frowned again, his leg bouncing up and down showing his impatience and eagerness to finish this conversation and bolt out of here, the first chance he got.
"That's not enough. Make it once two months on events and three days of school."
"Fuck no, this isn't some business deal, Travon. This is my life we're discussing right now!"
