ARSEN'S POV

"How's America serving you?" Alexander's annoying, rough Italian cut right through the phone's loud speaker.

I rolled my eyes at his friendliness.

"Like you give two fucks. Look, I'm busy, I've got a mission to carry out. If it's you being your usual annoying self, we can talk later." I grunted out, throwing a random pair of jeans on my legs.

"Aww. Come on. You can't even spare a minute for your friend?" He drooled out and I chuckled, chucking the chains around my neck before I had time to thoroughly look at them.

"But you see. You aren't a friend."

It was the truth. Alexander was nothing more than an ally in our shared line of work. If one needed assistance, they'd call the other. And it was usually Alexander giving those calls.

"Ouch. That hurt." He tsked, and even millions of miles away, I could imagine him putting his hand on his heart.

"Truth mostly does." I shrugged, not caring.

"So, why don't you have time to talk to a friend?" He asked, changing the subject and I sighed, refusing to waste my time correcting him.

"Mother fucker screw up bad. Need to teach a lesson." I shrugged even though he couldn't see me.

"So, you're saying that a girl's giving you trouble?"

"Who said it's a girl?" I strapped the watch on my wrist, checking the time. I'd asked the hotel faculty to bring my car from parking in basement. It must be there by now.

"Well, it's pretty obvious with-"

He was cut off when the doorbell rang quite loud throughout this shitty apartment with its fake grandeur.

"Don't tell me! You're having angry sex to calm yourself?!"

How he came up with that theory with just an harmless doorbell ringing is beyond me. And I'm not even going to ask.

"Nah man. I'm just filling in for your position since you know, girls've been complaining, that you've been getting worse in bed." I rolled my eyes and moved out of the master bedroom to the hallway leading to the main double door.

"Fuck you bastard!" He shouted and I chuckled cringing, moving the phone away from my ear to prevent ear damage.

"No, it's probably just that fucking annoying old hag from the neighboring apartment, offering fucking welcoming cookies." I explained.

"Stupid Americans." He chuckled.

"Tenere premuto su, Alexander." Throwing open the single door of the double gate of grand entrance, without looking up from my phone, I snapped.

"How many fucking time do I have to tell you?! I DON'T WANT YOUR FUCKING WELCOMING COOKIES! DON'T COME UP HERE AGA--"

I stopped mid-sentence when the perfume of whoever was standing in front of me, reached my nostrils. And it was definitely not of that old hag.

I looked down, at the living, breathing, creature standing right in front of my apartment and my eyes widened. Immediately, cutting the call, I shoved the mobile in my pocket.

My mind went in overdrive.

She! Fucking Her?! How the fuck did she come to know where I lived--
