Two voices broke me out of my semi-dead state. And GOD!

Don't these people know how to speak in lower octaves known to humans? They should either just use Supersonus' pitch that's too high for us ordinary people to comprehend or just shut those God gifted holes in their faces.

The words they were spitting weren't actually being comprehended by my brain but that doesn't mean that they wasn't hurting my God Damn ears.

"She fell asleep?"

"Yup. She badly needed it."

"Why, what happened?"

"Panic attack."

"Fuck!"

"Yea."

"We've to wake her up now, though."

"Yea. Hold on."

"Alora. Get up! Up with that lazy ass of yours!"

Ethan's voice was so soft that if I wasn't sleeping, I would've teased the fuck out of him. He should be happy I ain't up.

"But I don't want to." I mumbled, snuggling deeper into whatever I was using as pillow right now.

"I know you don't want to. But you're drooling all over my Saint Laurent suit. And that cost me a fortune. Plus, we've got to handle this shit out."

The second those words left his mouth-- the last ones, not the one of me drooling-- memories of hours earlier events flashed behind my closed eyelids and immediately my eyes flew open.

"What's wrong?! Is Travon awake yet? Is he okay? Did you find any clues? Is the police taken care of?"

Questions flew out of my mouth before I could even sit up straight in the chair.

"Alora. Calm down."

That wasn't Ethan speaking.

I craned my neck at the figure standing in its 6 feet glory. Fuck their height.

Heath.

He dumped himself on a chair beside me with a sigh and started.

"Travon's still in surgery. It's 8 hours long and no one's allowed in or out so, we've got no fucking clue what's going on behind those doors. I posted agents outside his door, though. We don't want another repeat of events."

"And hospital has no problem with armed men inside their building?" I questioned, turning to him, raising an eyebrow.

"They did but then they got to know its 'The Travon Pierce'. They couldn't speak against your lawyers now, could they?"

Heath air quoted Travon's name and I had no doubt that he was right. It's just amazing what you can do with a few powerful lawyers at your disposal. Trust me, I'd know first hand.

"What about the police?"

"Yea, them. That guy, Aiden was it? Anyway, he fed them with some bullshit story about burglars getting Travon on gunpoint and doing all that torture to him when he refused to give up some rich people shit. Long story short, they bought it."

I nodded hesitantly, my eyebrows furrowed.

Aiden? I don't know any guy in the agency named Aiden- Oh, Arsen.

"Arsen you mean? The one you soo wanted to blow the brains of?" I asked.

Heath's eyes narrowed at me.

"And I would have if you hadn't stopped me."

"Of course. Continue." I smirked at him, gesturing him to finish with the account.
