BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP

I popped awake and shut off the alarm on my phone. I checked the time to make sure I didn't oversleep.

5:00 am.

I zombied over to my drawers and pulled out a pair of leggings and a lightweight tank top. I went to my bathroom and brushed my hair, throwing it into a low ponytail.

I opened my door, quietly, making sure I don't wake up my aunt. I walked downstairs and went outside to start my daily morning jog. I've jogged every day, same time, for about 3 years. It's a great way to start the morning, honestly. It's also an amazing stress reliever. And you feel great the second you're done. I ran track up until the freshman year of high school. It just became too much of a commitment and I wanted to focus on school.

My aunt doesn't really approve of my morning runs, probably because she's so overprotective and is scared of what could happen to me. I tell her every time she doubts me, that I know how to stick up for myself. I may be small but I am mighty.

When I got on my front porch, I pulled out my iPod and headphones, and turned my music on to 'shuffle.'

This jog may be hard considering I have absolutely no idea where I am or where I'm going, but I'll just stay close to the house and hope for the best.

I started up my jog and felt the pulse startup in my chest. Honestly, it's the best feeling you can have. Being healthy is one of the most important things to me.

I ran around the neighborhood and saw a forest up ahead. I love jogging in forests. The nature smell, the crunchy leaves...

I spent about 50 more minutes jogging in the forest then jogged around the forest in a neighborhood across the street from Aunt Belle's. Eventually, after a while, I headed back home.

When I got home I checked the time and it was 8:00. Perfect jog to start my morning.

I walked in the door and my aunt was already up and drinking her coffee in the kitchen.

"Morning," I said out of breath, unplugging my headphones.

"Good Morning, how did you sleep?" She asked with tired eyes.

"Pretty good. What's on the agenda for today?" I asked her, wiping my sweat away with a paper towel.

"Well, I was thinking we could go to the store and get some food in this house so we don't starve. Then we could stop at a mall. I looked up that there is a mall not far from here. It sure as hell wasn't there when I was a kid. Otherwise, I'd be there every other day," she scoffed and took off her reading glasses.

"I also heard there was a Verizon Wireless there. We could get our new phones assembled. I know you're having some trouble with your ID or whatever you kids call it,"

"Apple ID," I told her.

"Apple, pear, it's all the same to me," She shook her head. See, bad at electronics

She continued on. "We'll stop somewhere to eat before we go to the store if you'd like." Aunt Belle stood up and put her coffee cup in the dishwasher.

"Sure, just let me shower and get dressed first," I told her as I walked upstairs.

I walked into my room and shut the door. I walked to my bathroom and shut that door. I took my long, brown hair down from the ponytail and stripped down naked. I took the shampoo and conditioner out from the box in my bathroom. I stepped in the shower and let the hot water flow down my face. It hurt my wound by my belly button but I just tried to ignore it.
