*Danielle's POV*
"What to do, what to do, what to do...." I mumbled to myself. Once again, I'm all alone on a Saturday. Phoebe and Sophia went home like they do every weekend.
I called Aunt Belle and asked her if I could come home. I want to see her. I haven't seen her in about a month. Last month, she drove up here on a Friday, and after school, she picked me up and we went to a hotel to stay overnight. We saw a movie, went to dinner, and just caught up with each other. I missed her so much. I just want to go back with her. I miss her too much. But she said it's better to be safe than sorry.
So I'm sitting here, watching Grey's Anatomy, eating pickles, alone in my bed. I'm like a lady who just got divorced and doesn't know what to do with her life.
"Are you kidding me!" I screamed and flung a pickle at my TV. Actually, it's not even my TV, it's Sophia's. So hopefully she just never finds out that her television had a little interaction with my pickle.
Don't you just hate when your favorite character dies in your favorite TV show? Because me too. It just makes you want to cry for 7 years straight.
Bzzzzzzzzz.
I looked down and saw Jack's contact pop up on my screen.
"Hello?" I answered.
"Dani?" He sounded confused.
"That's me."
"Why do you sound upset?" He asked me.
"TV drama, what's up?"
"I have sort of great news." He sounded indecisive.
"Sort of?" I questioned.
"Yeah. I can't tell if it's good or bad."
"Well, I can help you figure that out."
"So," he started, "my mom invited me to visit." He was smiling.
"Jack, that's great! I'm happy for you!" I really meant it. He hasn't been home in a year and a half. And even though he had problems with his mom, he probably really misses her.
"Thanks. I really hope she's changed." He sounded nervous.
"Jack, I think she has. She hasn't seen you in a long time, she misses you."
"I hope," he was thinking. "So you think I should go?" He asked and he sounded like a little kid.
"Of course you should."
"I'll go on one condition." He said and was quiet for a second.
"And that is?"
"Come with me." He said and my throat got clogged.
"What?"
"Come home with me for the weekend." He repeated. His voice was raspy. It's 12 o'clock, so I guess he slept in today. "Jack, maybe you should-"
"Have you go with me? Yes, I think that too." He was smirking, I could tell. I rolled my eyes and shook my head.
"You haven't seen your family in more than a year. Don't you think you should go alone and catch up?"
"I should, but I don't want to. I'm nervous. I just want a partner in crime, you know? Someone to be there with me. To help me stay calm."
"You won't stop begging if I say no, will you?"
"Nope. Mind as well just say yes, it will save a lot of time."
"I would love to go with you, but what about your mom's decision?" I asked him. After all, this is his mom's decision, not his or mine. I don't want to ruin anything.
