I texted Jack letting him know that I was all ready. He responded telling me that he was on his way. I had my backpack all packed up and I was all dressed and prepared for day one. I put on something more casual. I wouldn't want to wear anything too dressy and fancy, but I still want to look presentable to my new classmates.

I ran my hair waver through my hair to make it a bit wavy, so it doesn't look like a pigsty. Messy waves are the new in nowadays. Not gonna lie, I look okay for someone who just threw herself together in approximately 20 minutes. Jack and I stayed out kind of later than I expected.

I realized within the first few minutes of knowing him that he is such a nice guy. He wasn't douchey or rude. Since most guys that look the way he does (attractive), I had expected him to be full of himself. Which was the exact opposite of what he actually turned out to be. I'd never actually met a guy that cares more about other people than himself. Even Billy

When I returned back to my dorm, Sophia and Phoebe looked frightened. Like the pale-faced kind of frightened. When I asked them what was wrong, they told me they thought I left or got kidnapped or something. They didn't expect me to be missing this early in the morning. I told them that I went for a run and that I met some named Jack Gilinsky.

"Jack Gilinsky?" They eyed each other curiously.

"Yeah, why? What's wrong with that?" I said, feeling confused and freaked out. What was the big deal?

"Nothing's wrong with him, exactly. He's just...." Sophia used hand gestures to try and get out what she was attempting to say. I waited for her response. "I can't believe you actually got his attention!"

"Not in a mean, bad way. Just that he like never really talks to girls. Like he's that kind of boy who you would think is a player and flirts with all the girls in the school. But he's actually so....clean,"

"Clean?" I questioned.

"Sophia and I were pretty sure he was gay or something. Never actually saw him with a girl. Like in that way. He just hangs out with his guy friends," Phoebe told me applying her mascara.

"His extremely hot friends, might I add." Sophia piped up.

"Well, that's not exactly a bad thing, right?" I asked.

"Not at all. He's probably the most thoughtful guy this boarding school has," Phoebe nodded. I smiled.

I heard a knock at the door as I was finishing up fixing my hair one last time. Without even looking through the peephole, Sophia trotted over and ripped the door open.

"Oh, hi!" Sophia said, more as a question than a greeting. Maybe I should've mentioned he was coming.

"Hello, Sophia right?" He smiled and Sophia nodded as if she was approving him. "And...Phoebe, right?" He waved to Phoebe, who was laying on her bed, head hanging off the bed. She sat upright and smiled.

"Yeah, hey Jack. How've you been?" Phoebe waved back and offered a small smile.

"Fantastic, and you?" He started but before she could answer he continued on. "You were in my chemistry class last year, right?"

"Yes, I was. Weren't you the one with the sick lab explosion," Phoebe smirked.

"Yeah! How'd you remember!" Jack laughed out loud.

"Couldn't forget." She replied and Jack was all smiles. After they finished talking for a few more seconds, Jack turned to me and smiled down at me.

"Hi Dani, long time no see,"

I smiled back.

"You all ready to go? We gotta stop at the office and get your schedule. Mrs. Robins in nice, don't worry." Jack smirked.
