*Danielle's POV*
Well, I told him. I told Jack Gilinsky everything. The things that I said I would never tell anyone? Well I told him.
It's either I told him or I lost my friendship. I didn't want to lose my friendship with him. It means too much to me.
Although...I still cannot think about it without getting tingly inside.
Jack told me he loved me.
Like, it's not a joke. He loves me. And I finally admitted to myself that I love him too. But it's now clear. I cannot be in love and he understands that. Well, kind of.
He still thinks he can turn around my feelings. I mean, if he really thinks he can then it's worth a shot. But I know what I want. And it's not to be hurt again.
Like I said before, Jack might not abuse me or hurt me but he's still a guy. Guys will tell you a million times that they will never stop loving me. But that's not realistic. They will one day stop loving you and I don't want that.
Now I am sitting in the lounge with my friends.
We're all sitting in the lounge and just chatting and all. Things are still...weird...between me and Jack. He's talking to me again, asking me if I'm okay, all that. I told him two days ago and things are still normal between us. But I don't think the rest of our friends notice anything, so that's good. I don't want more people asking about anything.
Sophia is yapping about this guy she likes and Johnson is mocking her tone. Jack is sitting quiet, catching a few glances at me every now and then. Phoebe is attempting to do her math homework. She looked like she was struggling so Captain Danielle came to the rescue.
"If A is 22, B needs to multiply to the sum of 225," I spoke and everyone looked at me.
"What?" Phoebe looked at me like I was speaking a different language.
"Since when did you get good at math?" Sophia laughed.
"Since I started getting tutoring from Mr. Nay." I shrugged.
"Ohhh, lessons from a hot teacher," Sophia smirked and I shook my head, giggling slightly.
"He's not hot." I laughed.
"He's adorable, what do you mean?" Phoebe looked at me with her mouth open.
"Yeah, Danielle!" Johnson mocked her and Phoebe gave her a death stare.
"He's like 40."
"So what? I love older men."Sophia said. I nudged her and laughed.
"Okay, but the real issue here. What on earth do I do here?" Phoebe threw her paper at me. I helped her with her math homework as some other people walked into the lounge.
I looked at the corner of my eye and saw that Johnson was whispering something to Jack.
I finished helping Phoebe and then laid down on my stomach. I was so tired.
I laid my head down on the ground and then popped it back up when I heard my phone ringing. I bolted up and looked at the caller ID. It was my aunt. My eyes widened.
"Hey, um. I'll be right back." I said quietly and walked out the back door in a rush. The back door leads to outside in the frisky weather. Jack's eyes followed my every move until I was out the door.
Once I got outside, I slid accept and put my phone to my ear.
"Hi, Aunt Belle." I smiled to myself. I really miss her.
