Chapter 25

GAB'S POV

“I’m starving, can we eat first?” reklamo ni Cass, she’s holding 3 paper bags, and 3 plastic bags. We were roaming around for like three hours already, we’re having a Christmas shopping. Yeah! You heard it right, guys. Christmas is approaching. Ang bilis talaga ng panahon, everyone is busy buying some stuff with their loved ones, same as me— i mean us, ako, si megan, cass and sammy. We’re having a bonding and shopping at the same time.

Christmas songs, christmas trees, christmas lights and some stuff related to Christmas are everywhere. We can feel the essence of Christmas, everyone is having fun looking for perfect gift to their loved ones. This is my favorite part pag malapit na ang Christmas, I’m really enjoying this thing, ang pag pili ang regalo sa mga friends ko at sa family ko, magastos nga lang but who cares once a year lang naman ito.

So we decided to go to pizzahut, we ordered 2 hawaiian pizza. Ganyan kami ka gutom, this is what i like about my friends, they don’t care what other people say. Kahit sabihin pa nila na patay gutom kami we don’t give a fuck. We’re just doing what we want, hindi naman kami ma bubusog sa mga judgement nila.

“oh God, I’m really starving” sabi agad ni Cass nung dumating ang order namin.

“Me too” sabi naman ni megan. “me three” sabi naman Sammy. “Me four” sabi ko naman. Humalakhak lang kami as if nobody’s watching us. We ate in silence, ganyan kami pag gutom tinatamad mag salita. Hanggang sa ma ubos na ang pizza namin, but we’re still hungry, kaya we added another family size of pizza.

“I’m always having a hard time looking for a perfect gift for rick” reklamo naman ni Cass then she sighed.

“Seriously? You’ve been together for like 4 years or something, but you still don’t know what to give him?”  I asked her in disbelief. It’s impossible. Ang tagal na kaya nila.

“Stupid, i mean— I wanted to give him a perfect gift na magiging masaya siya. I don’t wanna give him another lame gift that a boyfriend could ever receive every christmas” sagot naman niya at tumingin sa kawalan.

“Ang drama mo, Cass” sabi naman ni megan at humalakhak. Tumawa naman kaming lahat. Sa amin kasing lahat si Cass ang pinaka ma drama. Gusto niya palagi, special ang lahat. Gusto niya may effort, gusto niya na iiba, ayaw niya ng mga common things. Pag nag bigay talaga siya, galing sa puso.

“Yeah! Right, you’re being dramatic again, why don’t you just ask rick what he wants, simple as that, hindi pinapahirapan mo sarili mo” sabi naman ni Sammy at tumawa din.

“You know what guys, you’re being bitter again” sagot niya samin then she rolled her eyes

“Bittter?” we all said in chorus. Tumingin pa yung ibang tao sa amin.

She laughs “don’t shout, we’re getting everyone’s attention” she said

I rolled my eyes “since when did we care about everyone?” I said then i take a sip on my pineapple juice

“Yeah right, this is what we want. To get their attention, and be admired” sammy said with full of confidence. We all laugh. Actually, we love it when we get everyone’s attention. We don’t care if they’ll talk about us.

We still continue talking and laughing when we saw Nikki waving at us. We look at her then we saw Cris and Kent behind her. Pumunta naman sila agad sa amin. Mukhang reunion ito ah. It’s been 3 days already since we saw each other, the last time is when we had night out. Kaming lahat palaging mag kasama, we never missed going out every end of the week. Kaya mas naging close kaming lahat.
