The angels didn't stand a chance against us. We obliterated them with ease. I sound like some paychopath, but I'm really not.
I slashed angels to bits, using my Fallen Devil power to break every bone in their bodies, and using the pieces of bone to pierce vital organs.
My god it was awesome. "Push forward!" Scott ordered, and we began to march forward, hacking and slashing every angel in our path.
Then a new kind of angel appeared, dressed in full body armor and swords at the ready. We were forced backwards because of their strength, and soon were at the hole again. "What are they?!" Stiles grunted, pushing one off him.
"Possibly the tanks, I'm guessing!" Ryan replied, snapping another's neck. "Gabriel doesn't like it when we dominate the battlefield!"
"True that!" Newt said, killing five angels, and kicking a tank away from him. "But these buggers keep coming!"
"Yeah, no shit!" I roundhouse kicked one into the wall, cracking it. "Tell the students to head to the gym, Ryan!"
"On it!" He bit into an angel's neck, and I could hear the gurgling cry that came out of his mouth. "Man, that tastes bad." He spit out blue blood and ran into the auditorium.
"What do we do?" Kat asked, slicing one's throat.
"Follow them?" I guessed.
"Wait a minute for them to evacuate." Scott answered. "Then we go."
"Got it!"
Minutes passed as we continued to fight the oncoming angels. I turned to see that everyone was gone. "Let's move!"
Stiles blasted every angel, giving us time to get out of there, and Scott places a black hole, bolting out of there. When we got to the stage, Scott snapped his fingers and the black hole began to engulf everything. Not exaggerating that, it destroyed everything and everyone that was near it.
Wind blew past my body as it flew into the darkness, and I felt the pressure in the room growing, so I left along with my friends. Boom goes the dynamite.
"Gabriel will dispense the black hole in about ten seconds!" Scott shouted. "Get to the gym and find a way to barricade the doors!"
"I'm pretty sure they've already got that handled!" Newt pointed to the entrance to our school's gymnasium, and students were shouting us to hurry up, desks and equipment were ready to block the doorway.
"C'mon!" Ryan yelled, and we listened, making a last minute burst through the doors right as the students closed the doors. "You all took your sweet ass time."
"Same goes for you, vampire." Kat snapped. "Took five minutes to evacuate every goddamn student here? That's supernatural? That's like, two hundred of 'em."
"Yeah, but-"
"No buts!" She shouted, and then slapped Ryan across the cheek, leaving a large red hand on his face. "I need every single student that was injured healed. Now."
He kind of froze, his hand on the new found mark, then he ran to the medics, and began to order them to hurry the hell up. I was impressed that he could move that fast. Like a vampire on meth. Kat huffed and turned to face us. "Well then. Prepare."
"Y-Yes, ma'am!" Stiles and Newt said in unison, running to the makeshift armory. Then she turned to me and Scott.
"You both fight Gabriel when he arrives."
"Got it." I nodded, and Scott agreed. "We need to prepare, right-"
"No! There's no time!" She snapped, and I stood at attention, not trying to piss her off. "They're coming any minute now. That black hole was a distraction."
"I take offense to that-"
"Good!"
Damn. She was taking leadership like a drill sergeant with a bunch of dumbasses. Very disciplinary in a more "I will obliterate your dignity" kind of way, which made me listen more than I did during actual PE.
Minutes passed as me and Scott faced the barricaded doors, until I heard something on the other side. "MOVE!" I pushed Scott away, but wasn't able to get out of the way myself. The doors exploded, and the barricades slammed into me, sending me flying into the bleachers, creating a little crater.
"Liam!" Scott shouted. I looked up, and gave a thumbs up to tell him I was in intense pain, possibly internally bleeding, but alright. Then he turned and saw Gabriel flying above him.
Everyone was quiet as Gabriel began his shitty lecture. "All you devils are here, at this school. Devils, all of you. Sinners deserving crucifixion on a cross! It doesn't matter to me if you wanted to be a devil or not, you still are one. So you must die."
"Shut the fuck up, Gabriel!" Scott growled, wings outstretched and eyes glaring at the angel. "You're the real sinner here!"
"Be quiet, hellspawn!"
"How about you come down here and make me?!" Scott was becoming more savage by the second, and Gabriel was getting saltier by the second! This was entertaining.
Gabriel snapped his fingers, fire in his eyes as angels began to swarm the gym, and the students readied themselves while Scott flew in the air, facing off against the rogue Angel. "You will lose this fight, devil!" Gabriel snarled.
"We'll see about that!" Scott flew at him, a flurry of punches and kicks, hitting Gabriel as he blocked some of hits, but the others all direct hits. I had gotten up from the crater, and joined the fight, cutting any angel that was in front of me blue pieces. I watched most of their fight going on, Scott mostly on the offensive while Gabriel fought back with defense, occasionally throwing a punch.
It was amazing how Scott fought, but then I saw a glint in Gabriel's eyes that surprised me. Then I saw the angel flying at Scott from behind with a light sword. Oh no. "SCOTT!" I shouted. "BEHIND-" Too late. With one thrust, the blade went through Scott's back, and past his stomach. He instantly fell, hitting the wall and skidding to the floor, leaving a blood mark.
I hacked my way towards him, but I was getting surrounded by more and more angels, getting seperated from everyone else.
Then the angels circled in, beating the living crap out of me. I couldn't see, I couldn't really breathe. My vision was blurry, and my lungs stung. "No. . ." I muttered. Where was Newt and Stiles? Or everyone else?
Help me. . .I need. . .
Before I had time to think anything else, everything went black, and I was engulfed in darkness. No dream. I woke up in a white room, on a white bed, wearing white clothes, and out a window was the only thing I could see that wasn't white, which was blue.
"You're awake." Someone said, and I looked over to see Alexa next to me. "Bad dream?"
"Wait, you're-"
"I could see your dream. You think I'm with Gabriel? I'm not. I am with God, the father."
"That was all a nightmare?" I couldn't believe it. Alexa nodded. "Where are my friends?"
"Resting up."
I had my doubts, but I ignored them. But then my gut had a different theory. I felt my face, and there was no pain. But that dream, that nightmare felt real.
Maybe it was real, and Alexa was still with the enemy.
And everyone in that room is either held hostage or a blood stain. I shuddered at the thought.================================
What may happen, you are thinking. I don't know either, I just wing it and see what happens. Boom, my technique! No drafts or anything. Next chapter will be about me having doubts about things, then seeing something awful even in heaven. Shocker, right?
