~~~ The 19th Of April 2015 ((One year and five months ago)) ~~~
- Elizabeth's POV -
I was sitting with my best friend Ava on the hillside like we do almost everyday, we were watching the sunset and chatting about what had been going on lately. She seemed angry or frustrated about something so I asked why.
"I know you're avoiding me and the girls, you haven't been out with us in a long time. It's not fair that you're blowing us off to hang out with Connie" Ava explained while sighing and looking in the opposite direction.
"I'm not avoiding you guys! Connie just... gets me" I muttered, Ava stared at me in shock.
"You've only known Connie for a year, me and the girls have been your best friends since we were all five years old! We are the ones who get you" She shouted while groaning at me, I shook my head slightly before my phone vibrated.
I glanced down to see a message from Connie, I hid my phone from Ava because I knew she would attack me for talking to Connie.
"Do you want to stay over tonight? I'm home alone and I really don't want to be x"
I smiled slightly and my heart did a flip, sounds perfect to me.
"Of course. I'll be over in an hour :-)x"
I looked up at Ava who was staring down at the town which we lived in, she had her arms crossed and she continuously huffed as if she was letting me know how mad she was.
"Hey, I have an idea!" I said excitedly, Ava looked across at me in confusion.
"We should have a shopping day tomorrow with all the girls, I'll bring Connie along as well so you can meet her" I said with a smile, Ava's face lit up and she nodded.
"Yes! That is such a good idea!" She shouted while looking through her phone and calling the rest of her friends, I wasn't that close with any of the other girls in our friendship group. They were all lovely and seemed nice but Ava has always been my closest friend. We planned to meet in the town tomorrow at 12:00pm, I just had to pray that Connie would want to.
I went home and packed a small bag and listened to my mum and dad shouting at Lui in his bedroom, do they ever stop?
"I'm going to Connie's now, bye!" I shouted while rushing down the stairs, I'd do anything to get out of this house.
When I arrived at Connie's house the front door was wide open, I stared into the house in confusion before stepping in and screaming in fear as Connie jumped out to scare me. She was wearing a huge pink onesie that was clearly too big for her.
"Surprise!" She shouted with a beautiful smile, I smiled back and dropped my over night bag to give her a huge hug which lasted five minutes.
She looked incredible, with her slightly curled brown hair and bright eyes. She had the hood of the onesie almost covering her face because it was so big, I pushed it off and giggled with her.
"I have a spare one for you" Connie said while running into her living room, I followed after her and she handed me a cow printed onesie. I got changed into it and that's when the best night of my life began.
We wasted hours dancing around to music on the loudest volume, we ran around her house and fell over our own feet. Connie's cat watched us as if we were mad, we held each others hands tightly while dancing on top of the kitchen table and counters.
As it was slowly approaching midnight we sat down and watched a random movie that was on the TV, I rested my head on her chest and listened to her heart beat increasing as soon as I moved closer. We watched the movie this way, Connie played with my hair gently and the smile on my face never left the whole time.
