- Carrie-Anne's POV -
The rest of my school day was very boring but isn't everyday? I'm always silenced for being stupid or too nice and it makes me sad.
I wandered through the boarding house corridors until I came to me and Priya's bedroom, there was loud music blasting through the door. I opened it slowly to see Ashley and Priya dancing and getting dressed up, I entered the room and got their attention.
"What are you two doing?" I asked them before sitting down on my flowery coloured bed, Ashley was looking in the mirror perfecting her make up while Priya was fixing her huge red heels.
"We're going to a party in a village not far from here, my friend is picking us up soon" Ashley explained while turning around to me, I glanced at Priya and instantly began to worry about her.
"If somebody finds out you'll be kicked out of the school" I told them seriously, they both laughed.
"That's why you're going to cover for us, don't wait up though" Priya said as she kissed my cheek, I sighed loudly as they linked arms and left the bedroom. Well, it looks like I'm a loner for this evening.
I headed over to the Ipod which Ashley had forgot about, I looked through her playlists and played some music to dance around to. I grabbed one of my teddy bears hands and jumped on the bed with it, not as much fun as I hoped to be having.
I grabbed my phone off my pink dresser and looked through my recent text messages, none from Marco. For some reason he hadn't messaged me in over a week and I felt extremely worried about him, he could be in trouble. Today was our anniversary and I was certain he would come back today or even send me a gift like I did with him, I sent him an anniversary card filled with drawings for his bedroom wall.
I like talking about Marco and how happy he makes me but Priya laughs every time I try to bring him up, I'm never sure why. She could be jealous of me for having a boyfriend because she hasn't had one in a while, I can't remember the last time she was dating somebody.
I left my bedroom and brought my phone with me just in case Marco did come back, I was praying. I headed to the common room, through the busy corridors and into the reception area. The common room was completely empty and I knew why. It was empty because of Priya's threat to anybody who entered, I sighed and opened the door to go inside.
I walked slowly around the room before sitting down on the sofa, what an exciting night this is turning out to be.
- Priya's POV -
It was a few hours later and the party was well underway, everybody around me was either drugged up or almost paralytic and I was loving it. The boys were all over me and Ashley and they were loving every second of our dancing, the house party was crowded with people.
A random guy grabbed Ashley and pulled her out of the room, I watched them go upstairs and I sighed to myself. Ashley doesn't think about what she is doing most of the time but right now I don't think she can think at all, she was so drunk that the random guy was almost dragging her up the stairs.
I pushed through the crowds of people dancing and headed out the front door of the house for some fresh air, my head was beginning to thump loudly. I leaned on the wall and glanced up at the stars above me, it was passed curfew in the boarding house now. Curfew was 9:00pm and it was approaching 11:00pm.
"Hey.." A voice said in the shadows, I squinted my eyes to try and see who it was but I had no idea. A strange guy appeared with a grin on his face, I smiled back at him and he approached me.
"I've been watching you dance all evening, you're incredibly hot" He told me while popping my personal bubble, I could almost feel his breath on my face. I looked up at him before he unexpectedly kissed me and pushed me against the wall. I let him kiss me for a minute before his hands were travelling my body and restricting me from pushing him off, my thoughts began to over think and almost send me back in time to when being pinned to a wall and unable to move was a daily routine for me. I tightened my hands around his wrists and aggressively tried to push him off but it was no use, he was too strong for me.
"GET THE FUCK OFF ME!" I screamed in terror, people who were entering the house party looked over at the situation and that's when he knew he should back off. He stared at me weirdly as I breathed deeply and began to cry, I felt like he was judging me as he looked me up and down with disgust.
"Bye then.." He muttered while walking off into the dark again, I grabbed my phone and ran towards the road. I needed to get away from this house party. I began walking down the dark and spooky country roads which had no lights on either side.
The boarding school was in the middle of no where and nothing was near it, the only place that was close was the village that me and Ashley were in for the party. It was around twenty minutes away from the school.
I quickly looked through my contact list on my phone before calling Carrie-Anne, my whole body was shaking in fear and nostalgia. My head was running through every bad thing that has ever happened to me in the past year and there was so many.
- Carrie-Anne's POV -
My phone vibrated on my face and I jumped up in fear, I had accidentally fallen asleep on the common room sofa. I lifted up my phone to see that Priya was calling me, my heart began to thump.
"Priya?" I said nervously, I could hear her shaky breath through the phone.
"Something happened, I can't stop thinking. I'm on a road" Priya explained while crying loudly, I stood up from the sofa and looked around. I had no idea how to help her.
"Are you walking in the direction of the boarding school?" I asked her.
"Yes, it's twenty minutes away but I'm in the pitch black and I'm scared" Priya said, she was still crying and clearly in a panicking state.
"I'm coming to get you" I told her while rushing out of the common room and pushing the front door open, it was freezing and scary outside. I looked at the road and I felt terrified, how am I suppose to walk along a dark road for twenty minutes?
"Which way? Right or left?" I asked her as we were still on the phone, she thought for a moment.
"Go right, I'll see you soon" Priya said calmly, I nodded and ran as fast as I could. This can't happen again, I thought Priya was getting better. This is the reason I'm at this school, to look after my best friend.. My sister.
I ran along the road with cars passing me, they lit up the road every time they passed. My main worry was that Priya could get hit by a car, she's already terrified of the roads so I have no idea how she is walking beside a very dangerous one.
After ten minutes of running without stopping I could hear somebody crying in the distance, I looked around for a moment until I saw Priya in her broken state. Walking in bare feet, head lowered, make up smudged and continuously crying.
I knew what I had to do, I couldn't shout or surprise her because that would make the panic worse. I had to approach her calmly and address who I was and let her remember.
"Priya?" I said quietly, she stopped walking and looked up at me. We stared at each other for a while before she broke down again.
"Thank you Carrie-Anne" She said while running towards me and giving me a hug, I took her heels out of her hands and put my arm around her waist to help her stay up.
"Let's get back to our bedroom, I could read you a bedtime story!" I shouted happily, she laughed and kissed my head.
"You're the greatest friend, I'd love that" Priya whispered as we continued to walk back to the boarding house holding onto each other tightly, Priya was shivering and her body was cold.
"I'll make you some toast as well" I told her, she nodded.
What a night.
