- Carrie-Anne's POV -
After lunch we had exciting maths class which I had been looking forward to, mainly because we sat at the back of the classroom so we could eat food and listen to music. The work we did was too easy, I'm pretty sure I did it when I was twelve years old.
I scrolled through my boyfriend's Instagram while sighing to myself at the pictures I had looked at one hundred times. His profile consisted of baby pictures and the sunset, he never uploaded any selfies like a normal person would do.
The classroom door opened and Amber entered, she apologised to the teacher for being late and joined Effie in the middle of the room. Ashley began to laugh to herself as she stared Amber up and down.
"Troll.." She muttered while drawing flowers on her textbook, I stared at her angrily and shook my head in shame. Ashley noticed me shaking my head and then she saw my phone, she snatched it from my hand and held it out of reach until I gave up fighting her back.
"Who's Instagram is this?" Ashley asked me while scrolling up and down Marco's account, she was screwing her face up.
"It's Marco's, my boyfriend" I told her, she looked at me before bursting into heaps of laughter.
"I think you should find a new imaginary boyfriend hunny, he hasn't been active for ten months" Ashley said while handing the phone back to me, I frowned as she continued to laugh at me. Suddenly the teacher appeared behind us and Ashley smiled widely at her.
"Can I have that please?" The teacher asked as she pointed to my phone, I groaned and handed her it before giving Ashley evils.
~~~ The 3rd Of November 2015 ((Ten Months Ago)) ~~~
My phone vibrated on the wooden table in English class, I grabbed it quickly before anybody heard it. Marco had posted a pretty sunset picture like he does every morning, I smiled widely at how beautiful it looked.
I looked up at the teacher who was writing down something on the board before glancing across at Priya sitting alone in the corner of the room, her hands were aggressively shaking and her face was pale. She had been ignoring me and Sydney for weeks on end without an explanation, the only time we saw her was in school and even then she wouldn't talk to us. Priya's eyes were empty, it seemed like there was no soul living inside her fragile looking body.
Sydney appeared at the door with a grin on her face, I looked back at Priya to see her lowering her head and almost hiding in her journal as soon as Sydney walked in.
"I'm sorry for being late miss! There is a lot of traffic on the roads" Sydney said with a giggle, she searched around the room before seeing me at the back. I waved to her and she skipped down the classroom to sit beside me. Sydney seemed to be very giddy and happy, she is always happy but not as happy and excitable as this.
"Why were you late?" I whispered to her as the teacher continued on with what she was doing.
"I stayed at a friends house last night, I completely forgot about school" Sydney said while giggling and pulling her books out of her bag which stunk of alcohol. I continued to look through Marco's sunset pictures with a grin on my face.
"Where is Priya?"
I pointed across the room to Priya who had her head buried in her book, me and Sydney looked at each other before sighing in sync. We talked about how weird Priya was acting and how we thought she suddenly hated us for no reason.
Sydney began writing down an address of a random house, I stared at her weirdly before she handed it to me with a smile on her face.
"My friend is having a house party on the fifth, you should come" She said, I thanked her and put it in my pocket.
