I was doomed.
The five of us sat in the giant living room of the house, Shyera making pasta for all of us. We couldn't confront them directly about the matter. That would cause a lot of bloodshed. And Shyera didn't want that. That was the reason we landed on this solution.
"Hey Shye! Are you making the molecules of pasta, too?"
We all laughed as Irwin said this jokingly.
"Yeah....you know how much effort it takes?" Shyera answered sarcastically.
I saw a lot of tension on Amyra's face. Garry was constantly trying to calm her down, and that made sense only in two conditions: Either they were scared of something or...they had plotted something against us.
I brushed away the thoughts from my mind because they disturbed me. A lot. I looked at Ash and Tany and the look on their faces told me that they were on the same page as me.
I was gonna make Amyra pay for whatever she had done until now. I was gonna do something that wipes all her grins off her face.
After we finished our pasta, Irwin asked Amyra to come for a walk with him.
"Yeah!" said Amyra.
"Anyone else interested?", asked Irwin.
"Me!", chirped Shyera, and went out with them.
It was almost an hour since they left.
Neither had they returned, nor had me, Ash or Tany made an attempt to leave. Ash was getting too carried away in his conversation with Garry. I needed to stop him. Right Then. And I didn't know how.
"Hey Ash! Aren't ya comin with me for the groceries?"
I tried to signal him widening my eyes. He, thanks to Christ, catched it and nodded. Once out, I asked Ash to wait for Tanyra.
She was taking much too long to come out, and I was worried about both the sides of our plan- Shyera part and Tany part.
I kept kicking pebbles and the pebbles kept going far away from me. I was getting restless by now. Maybe we should just have left Tany on her own and go in search of Shyera and Irwin.
I was about to tell this to Ash, when Tany came out with a frightened expression.
"What happened?"
Tany's situation could be called as PARALYZED. She was just staring at us, her eyes wide open.
" G...Garry...h-he was gone upstairs to his room and had told.me...that I must wait till he comes,...and he never came back...I went upstairs...to...find him...and oh...how can I...telll you...HE WASN'T THERE! The doors of all the rooms were freaking open! But he wasn't there!"
"What!"me and Ash gasped at the same time.
"And that makes the situation for the five of us worse than it already is!"
We immediately left to search for them. I wished Silvee was present! She could have freaking helped us! We were already running as fast as we can, to the garden near the market and forest, since that was the place we had decided to take Amyra to. Meanwhile, Tany kept trying to call Garry, and Ashton kept trying to make possible a call to either Irwin or Shyera. I was really scared by now. The part of Tany and Garry hadn't gone as I had dreamt, but one thing for sure. Tanyra had taken as much time as I had seen in my dream. Some voice from the back of my head kept coming and disturbing me. The voice was like'Hey that idea was so stupid you can't even imagine!' I shoved that voice away.
Hey. No. What the hell. What the hell is happening around here. A damn market was supposed to be here. Not this huge gate with that stupid green lawn. And it's not new to me. At all.
I was staring at the lock on the gate. I was horrified already. Now it frightened me much more. This lock was destroyed a millennium ago. I had seen that lock in a book from the history section of the library. I didn't remember where it was used, but yeah. I, for sure, knew its combinations. That book had them specified. First of all you turn the knob at the bottom. Then you enter the three numbers 2,3,7 in. Then you simply pull out a key that looks like a design, from the back of the lock, and insert it in the hole created on top of the lock, due to the previous procedure. I automatically moved towards the lock...as if it was pulling me. I did whatever was required, to unlock the gate. And the lock opened...
I pushed the gate open, but froze.
I had heard Tanyra's cry and then found all the three of us in that room. I must look back for her.
I turned around, and I could see the shock on Ashton's face. He was staring at me in fright. But...I.could.not.see.Tanyra. She.had.FREAKING.DISAPPEARED. Almost everything was going as in the dream, and we would soon be ending up in that damn room. I didnt't want all this mess! No!
I brought Ash back to the present. We went in through the gate, and...oh the lawn was too big. But it wasn't as cloudy outside a few minutes ago, right? I was sure I wasn't making up things in my mind.
"We can't lose each other now, Av. I'm sure none of us want to roam about this place all alone."
"Exactly. And what the hell happened of that market that used to be here once?"
"I would have told you if I knew, isn't it?"
"Yeah right."
We kept walking, we didn't know for how long. It was getting more and more cloudy as we walked and I thought I saw something in the distance and just moved a bit ahead of Ash to see what it was. When I finally concluded it to be nothing, I looked behind and gasped. Ashton had disappeared. I was all by myself in this unknown scary, scary place. And the gate was left far behind, I guess, for me to escape.
New seven wonders of my world:
First wonder. The weather hadn't changed a bit since morning.
Second wonder. My wrist watch was still showing the same timing as it was when Garry and Amyra had arrived.
Third wonder. We hadn't seen any people around here since morning, except the seven of us.
Fourth wonder.Even Ashton had disappeared in the blink of an eye.
Fifth wonder. I was all alone here, in the midst of a place which was supposed to be a market, not an unknown place barred from the world by that weird gate and fences. And that was getting more and more and more and more cloudy as time passed by.
Sixth wonder.I was feeling all 'sleepy' in THIS scary situation.
Seventh wonder. Just about an hour ago or so, we were much away from this place, at Irwin's grandparents' house. And we ended up here, disappearing one by one.
Wonderful, isn't it?
