My sister decided to stay home today because she wasn't feeling so well. I think she's nervous because our parents now know who Nathan is and they could do something if they wanted to, but I'm pretty sure they won't because Rebecca doesn't want to make a deal out of this. I don't think Nathan is the real problem here though, Becca is.

My first classes went well and I don't have much homework to get done. I haven't seen my friends since first period and I want to talk to them so badly. I hate not having friends in all of my classes, it feels weird when we need to do team work because I don't know anyone and I don't know who to pair up with.

The bell rings and Professor Aaron, my algebra teacher, enters the room. Everyone sits and I see Zach and Scarlett coming in. They come and sit next to me, I smile and the professor starts talking about this week's test, that it will be pretty difficult but if we study we'll get a good grade and that our next week's project will count 50% of our final grade.

I don't see Stella here, I thought she was going to be late as usual but she isn't here. Maybe she's sick and didn't want to come to school, I don't know. I take my phone out and text her real quick, I don't want to get caught by one of my favorite teachers. A few minutes later my phone vibrates and it's Stella 'I'm fine and with a surprise! :)' I wonder what the surprise could be.

The class finishes and my friends and I go to the cafeteria to get something to eat, I'm starving.

"Are you going to eat that? It looks gross." Scarlett tells Zach when he grabs the little basket and makes a disgusted face.

"They're just fries, I'm not going to die." Zach says and brings two fries to his mouth. They do look nauseous though, it looks as if they were fresh out from the freezer.

"If you vomit just remember that we warned you." I say and Scarlett laughs.

"Let's go sit before you ban me all of my food." Zach says and goes to a table and we follow.

"Where could Stella possibly be?" I ask as we sit down.

"I don't know. It has to be a big surprise for her to take that long." Scarlett answers.

"Yeah, she usually-"

"Allie." Liam interrupts Zach. I didn't see him approaching.

"Hey." I say and smile.

"Can we-", he stops and takes a look at my friends, then turns back at me again, "Can we go for a walk or something?" he says.

"Sure." I say hesitating. "I'll be right back." I say and stand up. I wanted to eat my apple and granola because I'm pretty hungry, but I think I'd rather be with Liam for a while.

Liam and I get out of the cafeteria and walk around the football field. He doesn't start talking so I try to say something first.

"So, how are you?" I ask. That's the only thing I manage to say every time I want to start a conversation, not only with him, but with everyone.

"Great, thanks." He says, "I was thinking a lot yesterday and I-", he pauses and tries to find the correct words, "I'm sorry."

"Sorry for what?" I gently ask and make eye contact with him.

"For everything in general, I know I've been causing trouble and I also bring problems to you, I just want to apologize for all I have done." He sincerely says.

"I'm not perfect either, it's fine." I say and smile. I totally understand how he feels, I feel the same way with my parents and sister.

He grabs my hand and squeezes it a little bit hard, "Thank you." He leans towards me, "You're important to me, you know that, right?" He says and my cheeks turn warm. He stares at me for a few seconds and gets closer every time, I think he's about to kiss me, here in school, in front of everyone.
