Chapter 12: The Other Guy

"Hey, are you okay?" Stella asks, "I was trying to find you earlier, I even send you a text but you didn't reply." She says to me as I enter the room. I'm glad Liam stayed behind me, if not she would be asking more questions.

"Yeah, I'm better now, thanks." I say and take a seat next to her.

"Where were you? We were worried." Scarlett says. Let me see, I was at a beautiful park with the boy I like, talking about our feelings and memories from the past while we were grabbing our hands, being as cute as puppies.

"I was just walking. I was pretty frustrated." I lie. Well it's half a lie because I did walk and felt frustrated, but with Liam.

"If you need something just tell us, we're here for you." Scarlett tells me with a comprehensive smile.

"You can sleep tonight at my place. We could make a pajama party." Stella offers.

"I'm not in a mood for that, but thanks." I kindly deny, "Besides I want to talk to my parents and see if my dad is finally home. But thanks for the offer, maybe other day." I say and watch her smile disappear.

"Don't worry, I get you." She says and pulls her hair to one shoulder.

"Hey." I hear Zach's voice from behind. I turn around and see him with Caleb.

"Hi." I say.

"Are you feeling better?" Caleb asks me before taking a seat. I'm glad I have friends that take care of me, but sometimes I don't want to talk about me and only me.

"Yeah, I'm better, thanks." I say and make a weak smile.

"Good morning class, calm down please." Miss Annabelle says and everyone quiets. She keeps saying she'll talk only in Spanish yet she keeps talking in English, that's so clever.

"I have some special news for you." She says with an enormous smile. What can be so good for her to be that happy? "I'm having a baby girl!" Oh dear Lord. Did I hear right? "I kept it as a secret but now you can see what's going on down here." She says grabbing her belly. I never realized she was pregnant, her belly is so little you can barely see it. How could anyone stand being with her and having her baby?

Everyone stays awkwardly quiet and looking at each other, "Oh, come on, aren't you guys going to congratulate me?" Watching her smile creeps me out.

"Congrats Miss Anna. It will be a beautiful baby." A boy from the back sarcastically says and everyone laughs.

"Annabelle, Mrs. Annabelle." She corrects him. Even on her best days she is still a bitch. So know its Mrs. and not Miss, I'm honestly so curious about how the guy proposed, and when will the baby be born, because it seems as she was only a month pregnant. It must be because she is naturally really skinny, "I will not be able to be your teacher for the next few months, so a friend of mine will come and substitute me."

"I hope the new one hates me less than her." I whisper to Stella.

"So please behave, right Miss Cadwell and Miss Evans?" How can she always see what we're doing? I bet she only looks at us instead of the whole classroom. Stella and I make a fake smile and she continues talking. Jesus, this teacher is a nightmare.

Mrs. Annabelle talks the rest of the class about how excited she is and that she's getting married after the baby is born and that there are a lot of things to do until the baby comes and some other things I didn't pay attention to. I love when teachers talk about their personal life and don't give class.

The bell rings and everyone starts to get out of the classroom. I feel someone touching my back to prevent me getting pushed out and when I turn around to see who it is I find Liam smiling at me. I smile back and then we gets out.
