Chapter 30: Bad Blood

I'm standing alone in the middle of this enormous house waiting for Liam to come back. He should've been back already, but perhaps he got distracted by something and that's the reason he isn't here yet with the drink I'm not going to take a sip of.

This looks exactly like the last time I was here, same loud music, a lot of red and blue cups passing from hand to hand, people sitting on the floor and some others dancing. I see some faces I saw last time but others are new to me, not that I will talk to them either way.

I always get uncomfortable when I see drunk people, they are funny and sometimes they act completely different as they would act in their normal state, but there's something in them that I don't like, maybe because I've never been like that I judge them, I don't know.

I take my phone out to pretend I'm texting someone because I look so lonely right now. I don't want everyone to think that I came here alone, and I just want to look interesting. I need a friend right now. I don't see Stella and she told me a few hours ago that she was going to be here, with Randy of course. I was so surprised when she told me they were still seeing each other out of school, I honestly thought she was going to be a one night stand for him and vice versa, but they seem to have a mutual interest, so I guess that's good.

I finally see Liam and Jason approaching. I swear I was getting anxious being here on my own. I put my phone back on my clutch and smile to both good looking guys coming towards me. I remember how I always wished for cute guys, everyone in middle school were not athletically handsome like they are, but as boys get older for some reason they turn hot, so I'm pretty satisfied with my friends, they look like models and some of them don't even realize.

"Here you go." Liam says and gives me the red cup. I'm sure that I'll dream with millions of red cups tonight, they seem to be everywhere.

"Thank you." I say and grab it. I'll act like I'm drinking it but I'll end up giving it to someone and grabbing an empty cup, just to pretend. I turn to Jason and he's smiling, that guy is always smiling, he's so cute showing off his dimples and rocking that natural blonde hair, "Hi Jason." I say and smile back.

"Hey." He says and brings his cup to his lips, pulling it back down seconds later.

They're friends with Randy so maybe they'll know where Stella is or if she's even with him, "Have you seen Stella?" I ask without breaking the eye contact with Jason. I hate talking loud, my voice isn't strong enough to speak over the music and my throat hurts when I do it.

"I saw her like ten minutes ago with Randy, they were going upstairs." He informs me and I nod, understanding the meaning of going upstairs. I just half smile and look back to Liam, he's laughing but trying to hide it. He must think that I will get offended or something for seeing him laughing at my friend, but I honestly won't.

Jason whispers something to Liam's ear and they look away, I don't turn to see because I'll look nosy but I'm dying to know what they're looking at. "See you later, Allie." Jason says and smiles again, damn, I wish I could have dimples, everyone looks a hundred times better with dimples. He takes a step back and walks away, leaving us alone.

I turn to see Liam, and I ask him with my eyes what just happened and he seems to understand my wonders, "He's going with Gia." He clarifies my doubts, "Want to go upstairs? It's so loud down here." He asks and I instantly nod without thinking about it. He grabs my hand and we walk to the top layer of the house. I leave my cup on a table next to the stairs without him noticing and follow his steps. He seems to know the house pretty well because he knew exactly what room wasn't taken.

"My head was going to explode." Liam says when he closes the door, "I don't know what's wrong with me tonight." He says and sits on a chair in front of the bed.
