"Thanks for saving my life." I tell James when we get out of the classroom. It was so nice of him to come all over here just to help us with our presentation. It needed to be perfect, and because he works magic with computers he was the perfect guy for the job. Now we won't need to do our final exam and we owe it all to James.

"No need to thank. I'm glad everything turned out good." He sweetly says. "You don't have to walk me out, I don't want you to miss the rest of the class."

"I don't think I'll be missing anything." I say and he laughs. "And why didn't you have school today?" I ask. I was so concentrated on studying my part that I wasn't putting attention on what he was telling me.

"Everyone at St. Monica Catholic High School", he says, reminding me he goes to a catholic school, "went to their monthly spiritual retreat and I called in and said I couldn't go because I was sick."

"Just to come and help us with our presentation?" I curiously ask.

"What?" He asks with a funny face, "Hell no. I would do anything, literally, to avoid those things. I hate them." He says and I laugh. That's ironic.

"Then why do you go there?" I ask and then his mom comes to my mind. "Your mom." I answer to myself.

"Yep." He simply says. She is one of the most religious women I have ever met. She has lots of candles with saints print on them, paintings of the last supper and Jesus all over the house and her room is the best, there's wood crosses, metal crosses and many more material formed into a cross all over the place. It's a little too overwhelming in my opinion.

I see Liam and Jason walking in our direction and I smile to both of them. I forgot they had free period. Well, it's not as if I knew their schedule, but just some of their classes. "Hi." I say when they approach. "James, this is Jason and Liam." I introduce them.

"Hey." They say.

"I think I remember you." James tells Liam. Liam opens his eyes wider as if he wanted to say something sarcastically. I know he was the main problem of our fight but I hope he has moved on and accepted that he is just my friend.

"Do you?" Liam asks. He wants to say something to make him mad so badly, but he's biting his tongue. I appreciate his matters. I look at him to make sure he doesn't say anything hurtful and he smiles when he looks at me. He really does want to provoke him. I can see it in his flirty eyes.

"From the park, right?" James seems to remember.

"Oh, that was you. It's true." Liam says in a funny voice and I roll my eyes. He doesn't sound rude nor mean but he doesn't sound polite either. It makes me laugh, though. Jason is just staring at everyone because he doesn't know what is happening. This is hilarious.

"He was just leaving." I inform them.

"Why so soon?" Liam asks, looking at me and showing off a childish smile.

"I don't have anything else to do here." He answers. I know Liam is looking for trouble but this is making me laugh, so I'll let him continue.

"Tss. Too bad." Liam says. "Why don't you come to our friend's party tonight then? We can get to know each other there." He says, looking at Jason. I forgot about the party routine.

"At Randy's?" I ask. I don't care if they go, but neither James nor I are going to Randy's place again. Not after what he did to Stella, even though she doesn't seem to care.

"No, it's at Robert's this time." Jason tells me. He and Liam look at each other once again and smile to us. They look really suspicious.

"For real?" James innocently asks. He must feel weird because he is getting invited to a party by some guys he doesn't know at a house he doesn't know the host. Well, now that I think of it, that's how most of parties go. At the end of the day, you didn't even know who was at your party, because friends of friends of friends invited their friends.
