Digo tu nombre, theres un eco
//Niall sets his phone down on the marble counter of his kitchen and plays a Spotify playlist. It just has a lot of slow songs and Alessia Cara's new album. Basically, it was an emotionally chill playlist, if that makes any sense. He's making breakfast, which is just pancakes with cut up strawberries and little bluberries dropped on top of it. He offered Roman to come over, to which he declined by saying he was driving out of town for an hour or two to meet up with some friends and go to the mall, basically saying that he wants to feel like a rich teenage girl. Niall didn't question him, but was slightly disappointed when he saw the message display across the screen of his phone.
He quickly places the pancakes onto a plate, having already burnt his hand from not paying attention and touching the hot pan with his palm. He then sets it on the counter and washes his hands, again, and take the pieces of small fruit and top the pancakes with them.
Niall had gotten up earlier than usual, knowing that the coffee place down the way opens at six in the morning, so by the time he finished breakfast it would probably be around seven. Then he would go over to the boy next door and ask him to get a drink with him. By that time, it would be just past seven.
He planned this out before setting an alarm at one in the morning, but really, only Roman knew about that.
After eating, he cleans up and puts the used dishes into the sink. He would clean them later. He runs a hand through his hair before sighing. Niall looks around the room before spotting his shoes by the door. He walks to the door, unlocking it, and then picking up his shoes before leaving his house. He locks the door behind him and puts the key into his pocket.
As he walks the short distance to the boy's place, he hops on one foot, trying to put on his shoe. People pass by him either smirking or giving him weird glances while riding their back. He was successful, completely ignoring the looks he received from people, and continues trying to put on his other shoe while going up to Calvin's door.
He knocks gently, not wanting to piss the guy off at all. Although he probably already has. He sits on the fucking ground while struggling to put on his other shoe. Of course right now would be the time when the universe wants to be utterly difficult.
The door opens and there stands Calvin, a confused look crossing his face when he sees his neighbour sitting at his doorstep. "What do you want, Niall?" He asks, sighing. Niall coughs, fixing his shoe one more time and stands. He runs his hand through his hair again, hoping he looks decent. "Shit, I didn't know you knew my name. But anyway, I was wondering if you'd want to come with me to get coffee. I'll pay for you, I swear."
Calvin looks at him blankly. He sticks his hands into the pockets of his hoodie. "Niall you come over here almost everyday asking to take me out. I really don't want to."
"Come on, man. Then we can go to the beach or something."
"I don't like the beach."
This is progress, Niall thinks to himself. By this time, Calvin would have shut the door and leave Niall there dumbfounded. They're actually have a legitimate conversation.
"Then why are you in California? It'll be fun, promise."
Calvin rolls his eyes. "Listen, Niall. I gotta go..."
Niall sighs. "Fine, bye."
Calvin shuts the door.
Niall turns around, walking down the porch and calling Roman. When he answers, the boy is already laughing. "He said no, didn't he?" He asks through his small fits of laughter. Niall sighs, wanting to tell his friend to shut up. However, he doesn't and just lets Roman wonder how their conversation went down. Niall continues walking down the pavement and across the street, thanking the truck in front of him for stopping.
