"I don't know if you're being serious or not." I looked at the two girls who sat in my living room. They both looked around my house like I was crazy.
"Why do you have sheets over your mirrors?" The one in a pink beanie asked, looking at the mirror that had a sheet over it.
"I was scaring myself in the middle of the night when I went to the bathroom." I stated, readjusting my hair so it was out of my face. "What were your names again?"
"I'm Drizzella." The one in the bright green beanie stated.
"And I'm Anastasia." The one in the pink beanie remarked. I nodded slowly. They both seem a little crazy, something off about them.
"Right..." I nodded. "And, why are you here?"
"Just being neighborly." Drizzella smiled.
"As neighborly as a neighbor can get." Anastasia smiled bright. I nodded, slowly, again.
"Well, this is my home... I guess. I don't have a TV. But, I have a ton of books." I pointed at the book shelf behind the pair. "Most of them are spell books that haven't worked in decades." I lied, looking at the pair as the stood up and walked over to the shelves filled with the books. Anastasia picked one up and flipped it open, moths came flying out of it. That cause Anastasia to scream and drop the priceless book. "Careful!" I shouted, standing up and going over to her and picking up the book. "Tea?" I looked at the pair.
Drizzella slammed the book she was holding, shut before looking at her sister and I and saying, "Tea sounds wonderful!" I nodded and rushed to the kitchen to start off with the tea. The two twisted sisters came into the kitchen behind.
"Do you need help?" Anastasia asked, picking up a really old tea cup and dropping it. I groaned and placed the matching pot on the stove top before bending over to pick the chipped cup up off the floor.
"No. I do not need help." I looked at the cup and sighed. "You're lucky it was just a chip." I pointed at her and placed the cup on the counter before going back to making the tea. "I've been here about a week and there been so many crazy things happening to me. I do not need any help from you." I chuckled, hyper-boiling the water in the pot before pouring some into three clean and unbroken cups. I grabbed three tea bags and dropped them into the cups. "Sugar? Honey? Cream?" I spun and looked at the sisters.
"Sugar and honey for me." Anastasia smiled sickly. I nodded and looked at her sister.
"Cream and honey for me." She replied, folding her hands in front of her. I nodded and went back to work on the tea. I snapped my fingers at their tea and said a little truth spell before giving them their drinks.
"Be careful. It's hot." I stated before putting sugar, honey, and cream in my tea. "Let's go back to the living room, shall we?"
"In all honesty, I would much rather leave this shit show." Annastasia remarked after taking a sip of her tea. I looked at her with wide eyes. Truth spells always work. No matter how badly you want to lie, the truth will always come out. And, sometimes the truth hurts. "I did not want to say that." She looked at me. I cocked an eyebrow. "Actually, that was a lie. I don't want to be here."
"Anastasia." Drizzella hit Anastasia's shoulder. "Shut up." She hissed.
"Do you not want to be here?" I asked, sipping my own tea.
"Not at all!"
"Why are you here then?" I asked, looking at the pair. Drizzella took a deep sip from her tea.
"We were sent by Maxwell. We were promised money if we stole a spell book from you." She spilled out. I looked at her and shook my head.
"Maxwell?" I asked, placing my tea cup on the counter and looked at the pair. "What can you tell me about Hook?"
"He's dreamy." Anastasia smiled bubbily at me. I nodded.
"Right." I sighed and shook my head. "What spell book?"
"The one written by The Grimm Brothers." Drizzella stated before throwing a hand over her mouth. I chuckled nervously.
"There's only one of those. And, I'm afraid I do not have it." I stated, crossing my arms over my chest. "Even if I did, Maxwell would've known by now that she would be screwed. That book is too powerful for her and it destroys people's lives and has killed the most powerful people." I looked at the pair. "I'd suggest you two stay the hell away from Maxwell and Peter. They only cause trouble." I remarked harshly.
"You can't tell us what to do." Anastasia spewed. I laughed.
"You've been spilling me the truth." I stated. "Wait, why does Maxwell want that book?"
"She wants to use it to enact a spell. She didn't tell us which one. We were just promised money and petty revenge on Cinderella." Drizzella slowly removed her hand and looked at me. "Tremaine wants the money. That's why we took it."
"Tremaine?" I asked.
"Our mother." Anastasia replied. I nodded. I placed my forefinger and thumb to my forehead. "Are you okay?"
"I don't have the book. Someone broke into my house and stole the book from me. I do not have it. I no longer have it. I did when I got here. I had it on Monday. I read from it on Tuesday. It was gone yesterday. I have no clue what happened to it. I am afraid you will have to tell Miss. Maxwell and Mr. Peter that they will have to find hope elsewhere for their evil mastermind of a plan because I do not have it. I will however be looking for it. I have strong powers. So, please, be careful." I remarked looking at the pair. "Get out of my house." I crossed my arms again. The sisters nodded before showing themselves out.
Whence I heard he front door shut I shouted at the top of my lungs before falling to my knees, causing a minor earth quake and small power surge. Everything in my house either fell off their shelves or fell off the wall. The tea cup stayed in it's spot.
