I am screwed. That's what I am. I. Am. Screwed. Never in my life have I been in a car accident. Never! But, as soon as I cross state line, I run out of gas. Not only. This is just great. It's dark, rainy, and foggy. Probably not the greatest driving conditions.
I pulled my hair up into a ponytail before getting myself out of my van. The car in tow just so happened to be out of gas too. Awesome.
"Maybe I can push?" I sighed, looking at the car that needs gasoline. I ducked back into the car and grabbed my bag. I pulled my phone out from my bag and clicked it on. I let out an even deeper sigh. It's dead. Of course it's dead. It's just my luck my phone is dead. I kicked my shoes off and put them in my car before walking down the road. A few miles back there was a sign that said there was a town that was only 5 miles away.
As I walked, I flicked my fingers around. On the side of the road a few flowers began to sprout. They were many different colors, ranging from bright pink, to sky blue, to deep red. They popped in the dark colored ground around them. They were beautiful.
"Okay." I stated, looking at my hands as I entered the town. It was a slightly smaller town than I was hoping. Although, it was lovely. A library was in the center of town, and shops lined up and down the main road. Cars were parked on the road, many were in front of a dinner.
"Get ahold of yourself, Odette." I snapped my fingers to get the sparkling to stop. Damn magic. I need to learn how to stop that. A bed and breakfast was my second main concern. And, there was on just down the road. I smiled and head towards the facility. I pushed the door to it open and walked in.
"Hello?" I asked, looking around the empty reception area. "My name's Odette Schmidt. I need a place to stay for the night, and maybe a phone for a tow truck." I walked up to the front desk. "Heeelllooo?" I asked, looking at the bell that was sitting on the desk in front of me. I let out a deep sigh before ringing the bell.
"Alright! Alright! Calm down! I'm coming! I can only go so fast!" An old lady shouted as she came down stairs. She was wearing very grandmother clothes, a flower covered dress hung loosely off her body and a burgundy colored shawl was wrapped around her shoulders. Glasses sat on the end of her nose. "Hello, dear, what can I do for you tonight?"
"I need a room. Just for tonight. I'll be out by morning."
"Who are you?" She asked as she picked up an old room key and looked up at me.
"Odette Schmidt. I was on my way home. There was a car accident on the main road and I took the detour. I must've missed a turn or something because I have no clue where I am. My van ran out of gas and the car that I was towing behind it didn't have gas." I sighed, looking at the lady. "Who are you?"
"You can call me Granny. Follow me." She looked at me before turning to go to the stairs.
"Sorry. But do you know if I can get a tow truck?" I asked as we went up the stairs and into a hall.
"It opens in the morning. I'll leave a note on your door." She stated, stopping at a door ans slipping the key in the keyhole. "It's a $50 fee for losing the key." She stated, holding the key up for me to take. "Sleep tight." She stated as soon as I took the key. I nodded and stepped into the room. There was something odd about this town that I wasn't very sure about. Maybe it's just me. It could just be me. It is just me. I don't even know anymore.
"Okay," I pulled my bag off my shoulder and placed it on the dresser and looked at the bed. "Let's see." I stated, snapping my fingers. I snapped before pointing at the bed. The comforter and pillows came flying off and hit the wall behind me.
"Perfect." I nodded, picking my bag back up and dumping it on the bed. Many, many, objects came tumbling out and landing on the mattress. Most of them were small vials of a small child's laugh, or a teen's tear, or a parent's anger. It wasn't anything bad. I was just dumping my bag out so I could get my hands on my pajamas. Cause it's nearly 10 'o' clock and I am damn tired. And, just my luck, my pajamas were at the very bottom of my bottomless bag. Amazing. This is what you get for being a... I'm not a witch. Definitely not a witch. I just have powers. Cool powers. Not cool powers. But, awesome powers. I mean, I just pulled the blankets off the bed without touching them.
"There you are." I smiled, pulling out the sky blue pajamas. I folded them nicely before placing them on my bed. I snapped and I was in my pajamas. I snapped again and my dress I was previously in was hanging on a hanger in the closet. I pulled the flower crown that was sitting on my head, off my head and placed it on the dresser.
"Now I have to clean this up." I sighed, sitting on the edge of my bed and piling all my things in to my bag. Once I did that, I placed the bag on the dress next to my flower crown.
"Perfect." I nodded and sat on the bed. I snapped and the blankets came back onto the bed and covered my body.
"Wonderful." I smiled before lying flat on my back. And with that, I soon fell asleep.

The alarm clock that was sitting on the night stand next to the bed went off, waking me up in almost an instant. I sat up and looked at the time. 9:30.
"Crap." I stumbled out of bed, snapping my way out of my pajamas and into my dress from yesterday. I snapped again and made the bed pristine. I snapped again, making my hair look presentable before I placed my flower crown back on my head. I picked up the key and my bag before going back out to the reception area.
"I need a tow truck." I placed the key on the desk. Instead of the old lady from last night, a younger lady turned around and looked at me. She had long-ish black hair with bright red streaks, she wore a skimpy dress with a bright red cloak. Her face was long.
"Who are you?" She asked, looking at me. She snatched the key off the desk.
"Odette Schmidt. AN older lady lent me a room last night. I need a tow truck. My van broke down a few miles down the road and, I can't drive it any further than that."
"I'll call Mickey." She nodded before disappearing into the backroom. I nodded and bounced on the tips of my toes, waiting for her to come back. Moments later, she came back and looked at me. "He said he'll go and get the van. You can't stay here." She crossed her arms over her chest. I nodded before walking out of the establishment and outside. Many people were walking around the town, now that it was day light.
I walked down the street, not really paying attention to where I was going. I walked right into a girl. She was an inch shorter than me. She had long dark brown, almost black, hair. An old Guns and Roses shirt hung on her body. Black skinny jeans clung to her legs. And an overly larger cardigan sweater was covering her arms. She seemed not in the mood.
"I am so sorry." I gasped, my purse falling out of my hands and onto the wet ground. Damn it.
