Isaac sat on the counter in their apartment. He sighed, "I still cannot, believe you did a 'casual' handshake, I saw the way you glanced at her." Sam sighed gathering his wallet, keys and phone, "Even of I did have something for her, what would you have me do?" Isaac smirked, "I don't know? Say something super sexy in Spanish and then tell her what it means." Sam sighed, "Once again, even if I was planning on flirting with her, why would I want to do it in front of you?" Isaac stared at him like it was quite obvious, "Duh, so I can be your wing man?" Sam glared at him, "Never in a thousand years, would I want you to be my wing man," He sighed, "I'm going to the store, try not to burn down the apartment." With that he walked out the door. To get decent groceries he would have to go uptown, the stores by their shit apartment all had experienced food. He shoved his hands in his hoodie and waited for the bus. Once the bus showed, it was crowded to an unhealthy amount. He inwardly sighed, and just got on the bus. Once they started getting closer to uptown the bus seemed to get even more crowded. He felt bad for the women, who was about a foot shorter than, was sandwiched.
When the bus stopped abruptly, the women tripped. But Sam still had his cat-like instincts from basic training caught the women in his arms before she hit the floor of the bus. A few people wolf-whistled as he brought her back to a standing position. The two looked at each other and soon recognized each other as, Sam and Sonata. What would Isaac say in this situation, something smooth right?, Samuel thought to himself. And before he could make a fool of himself she spoke, "I promise I'm not usually that clumsy." She brushed a piece of hair behind her ear. The two soon struck up a conversation, it wasn't until Sonata had to get off that Sam had snapped out of his world that had only consisted of them. She smiled, "Nice to meet you again, Samuel Ortez." With that she stepped of the bus and started off to her apartment.
The second performance night was cut short because business was business. Sonata quickly slipped out of her dress and into her "armor". The two were soon on a rooftop looking through sniper scopes. Sirius sighed, "He's in that building," He pointed towards an abandoned building, "Probably somewhere towards the center floor." Venus looked him, "I'll go through the vents and find the room. I just need you to take out any guys that come near the windows." She winked and hopped over the roofs and hopped into a vent on the main building. She looked through each vent until she found the one with their bounty and two guards. She tapped her ear piece, "Sirius I got eyes on em', I'm going in." She waited a moment, "Alright, Venus, be careful." She smirked, "Come on, Sirius, have more faith in me than that." She then dropped a smoke bomb through the vent and the room quickly filled up with smoke. She dropped through the vent and shot the two guards with her silenced pistol. She sunk up behind the bounty and quickly grabbed the chloroform rag she had stuck in her pocket.
The bounty quickly passed out in her arms. She dropped him and tapped her comm, "Got em' Sirius, come to the south east part of the building, 8th floor. We'll be waiting." In a few minuets Sirius climbed through one of the windows. He looked at their bounty, "That was quick, didn't seem to put up much of a fight." She was about to speak when bullets whisked past their heads. Sirius tackled her, "Snipers." She growled and pushed him off, "I kind of got that." The two stayed crouched, "It's coming from the south west." Sirius looked towards her. She furrowed her eyebrows, "No way, we're gonna shot them without getting our own skulls blasted." She looked towards the windows on the east side of the building and held up a grappling hook. Sirius raised his eyebrows, "Oh, Venus, no way we can do that with him." He pointed to the unconscious body. She clenched her fists, "It's that or giving them enough time to get support up here." Sirius knew she was right, and grabbed his own grappling hook. She smirked and fired hers towards another building. She clipped the bounty to the line and stepped on him, "See ya' on the other side, Sirius." She gave a mock salute and pushed out the window. Sirius soon followed after. The two were almost to the other building when a bullet snapped through the cord.
Venus grabbed the bounty with one hand and the cord connected to the other building with her other hand. Sirius did the same and the two grunted as they smashed through one of the buildings windows. Sirius quickly slung the bounty over his shoulder, "They're tougher than we thought, all we have to do is get to the car and speed outta' here." She nodded and grabbed her sniper, "I'll take any out on our way." The two made their way out of the building and started to run towards their car. Venus taking out any snipers from the other buildings. She covered Sirius back as he dumped the body into the car, "Let's go!" He called to her and she quickly hopped in the car. When they got away from the scene they could finally breath. She gave a shaky laugh, "That was quite exciting, thank god we got out of there. Or I wouldn't be able to flirt with my coworker." Sirius glanced at her, "I don't think you're talking about me, you certainly look disgusted at the sight of Nick, Isaac seemed to annoy you. So I'm only assuming you're talking about Sam." She smirked, "Ran into him on the bus today, well more like fell into him?" Sirius looked at her and shook his head.
He sighed, "What do you mean, 'fell'?" She raised her eyebrows, "Bus was really crowded and the dipshit bus driver stopped suddenly. I almost fell and Sam caught me." Sirius laughed, "Thought you would be more light on your feet?" She lightly punched him in the arm, "Oh hush you I'm able to crash through a window I could've taken the fall. He just didn't let me, it was very nice of him." Sirius looked at her and smirked, "Aw does somebody have a crush? That's so cute." Venus crossed her arms and pouted, "I am a bounty hunter, I'm not cute. And I never said I had a crush on anybody!" She raised her hands in exclamation. Sirius just laughed as he pulled up to the police station, "Whatever you tell yourself kid." He said as he hopped out of the car. She smiled to herself, "Okay maybe just a little crush." She whispered to herself.
