Mason wasn't wrong. After a few weeks, with a few missions here in there, the guys did grow on her. Sure Isaac was a pain in the ass, and a complete moron but, a lovable one at that. On missions Isaac and Sonata worked well together, while Sam favored Mason. Tonight was one of those night were it wasn't filled with missions or annoying costumers. Isaac and Sam didn't work at the bar full time anymore, Mason cleared up any situations with Nick (who was maybe just a little mad he was loosing some of his best workers).

Currently Isaac was bundled up on the couch watching trash T.V and Sam was sitting at the kitchen island scrolling through his phone, obviously trying to tune out the garbage Isaac was blasting. Sonata smiled as she pocketed her keys, "Hey Sam, I'm gonna' head out to get dinner from McDonald's and I don't want to carry the food all by myself. Do you want to take a walk?" Sam shot up, desperate to get out of the house, and quickly nodded. Isaac turned around, "Can I come?" He said looking like a puppy. Sonata crossed her arms, "I'll buy you a cookie if you stay here." Isaac grinned in retaliation, "Make it an extra thing of McNuggets and we have a deal." Sonata nodded, satisfied that the child was staying home. Sam sighed as Sonata locked the door, "I don't understand why he loves that garbage, it's not even real chicken." Sonata grinned, "Hey, he is what he eats." Sam gave a light chuckle as they walked.

For most of the walk they stayed in comfortable silence, neither of them really knowing what to say to the other. When they finally got to the fast food joint, when ordering Sonata looked to the taller, "Sam, waddya' want?" He looked at the menu and cringed, "I guess a salad?" Their server, who couldn't keep her eyes off of Sam, quickly nodded and placed the order. Sonata quickly clenched and un-clenched her fists. She looked at Sam with a smirk, "Who the fuck orders a salad at McDonald's?" She deadpanned. He darted his eyes around, "Aren't there children here?" She laughed, quickly glanced at the server who, was looking at Sam while packing the food. She chuckled and put her hand on Sam's arm, Sam tensed a bit, "Who cares, we're gonna be in and out." With that the server came over and placed the bag on the counter, "That will be 22.65." She spoke. Sonata shoved her money, while looking the server girl dead in the eye. As the server gave her change back, Sonata shot a quick glare at her, "Have a nice night." the server girl squeaked. Sonata grabbed the bag off off the counter and they walked out. When they started to walk back, Sam looked at Sonata, "Do you want me to carry that for you?" He motioned towards the bag.

Sonata handed him the bag, "I just wished you did it in front of that girl." She murmured and shoved her hands in her pockets. Sam gave a concerned look, "Are you...okay? You were acting all weird back there." Sonata blushed, "Uh-uh...it's nothing really, I just um, you know being...friendly." She sounded uncertain when she spoke, which struck a wrong chord for Sam. Sonata was always sure when she spoke but, she sounded like this when she first started to talk to him. Did he make her nervous? Even though the extreme height difference (she 5'' and he's 6'2) Sonata never showed fear towards him, she showed more defiance. Sam just looked at his feet, "Okay...I just wanted to make sure you we're okay because you seem off." Sonata clenched her fists, "I'm fine okay so just drop it please!" she spoke through gritted teeth. Sam sighed and the rest of the walk was filled with tense silence.

As soon as Sonata opened the door to the apartment her mood drastically changed, "Hey Isaac, you're extra nuggets came with an extra fry you fat-ass." She laughed. Isaac leaped over the couch and sat at the kitchen island. Sonata sat on one side of Isaac while Sam sat on the other. Each of them dived in the bag to find their food, Sonata grabbing a few extra fries at the bottom of the bag. Most of their quick dinner conversation was held between Isaac and Sonata. At the end of dinner Isaac looked at Sam noticed he was more quiet than usual, "Sam you can take the guest, I'll sleep on the pullout tonight." Sam just grunted in response and threw his garbage away. He then promptly walked to the guest room and closed the door shut. Isaac looked at Sonata and she just shrugged.

Later that night when Isaac was tossing and turning, he heard the door to the balcony open and close. He sat up and saw a female silhouette. He sat up and walked towards the door, he soon realized it was Sonata talking...to herself? After a few moment of her pacing back and forth she plopped down on one of the chairs. Isaac took this as the moment to approach her. When she heard the sliding door open she turned around, "Oh hey...Isaac. Can't sleep either?" She said in a soft voice. He sat in the other chair, "Yeah, I can understand why Sam's been cranky. That couch is not the most comfortable thing." She sighed and ran her fingers through her hair, "That's...that's not why Sam's been in a bad mood this evening. Well since we got back from getting dinner." Isaac raised an eyebrow, "What did happen?" Sonata grabbed Isaac's hands, which he froze up a bit at the sudden physical contact. She looked him in the eyes, "Isaac you can't tell, Sam but, well I like him." Isaac chuckled and then it grew into a laughter.

Sonata furrowed her eyebrows, "Isaac I'm being serious." He wiped a tear from his eye, "I know that's what's so funny. You two are so oblivious to each other. God you two are some stereotypes." Sonata went from frustrated to shocked, "Are you saying Sam is...he like me?" Isaac grinned, "Yes you moron. I've always teased him about girls but, you've affected him in a way I haven't seen a girl ever effect Sammy." Sonata looked at the ground, "What do you mean by that?" Isaac leaned back, "Sure Sam thought you were pretty but, he's not a shallow guy. He doesn't believe in love at first sight. It wasn't when he first started to talk to you, that's when he got really smitten with you. He even told me about the bus incident, even though reluctantly." Sonata blushed.

After feeling the heat in her face going down she looked at Isaac and told him what had happen with the innocent McDonald's server girl and then the walk home. Isaac smiled, "Look, Sonata, Sam isn't a very open guy abut his emotions and he can't read people's emotions for shit. You just have to be kind of blunt in a way but, I think you should apologize first, for snapping at him. I'll give you some time alone tomorrow morning." Sonata smiled and stood up, "Thank you Isaac, you're not as half as bad as I thought you were." He chuckled and shrugged, "Hey, we're the good guys." With that the two went back inside for the night.
