The next few times Sonata and Mason went to work in the bar he would always give little winks or nudges to her. Maybe if Sam was staring a bit too long Mason would get her attention and nod towards the tall bus boy. Sonata would make eye contact with him and Sam would quickly direct his attention back to whatever he was doing. Every time the bar would wrap up for the night, she would go sit at the bar and Isaac would slip over to her. And every time she would just bite her tongue and listen to Isaac flirt with her horribly. How this guy managed to charm almost every person he met was beyond her. But when Sam would come over, Sonata's attitude change drastically, going from sulky to joyful in a blink of an eye. Mason would always smile when Sam would go talk to her, and he would "busy" himself, cleaning up the bar.
All the while eavesdropping on the two talking with the occasional Issac commentary. When Mason would go drive her home he would ask the same question, "Are you sure you don't have a crush on him?" And her response would always be some variation of, 'No, I don't have a crush on him, you moron.' And Mason would just always smirk and nod his head in silent agreement.
Soon it came for another quick night of entertainment and bar tending, for another job had popped up. By this time Sonata had mastered the art of quickly changing and Isaac was always confused when he would find the dressing room empty within two minuets of Sonata changing. The pair of hunters were soon driving a few blocks away from the bar, "The bounty isn't too far away from here. Only a few more blocks." Meanwhile Sam and Isaac sat during their break, Isaac more huffy than usual, "I don't understand, Sam. Where do they go in such a hurry?" Sam sighed, as he tends to do around his talkative counterpart, "I don't know Isaac, maybe they have some important business to tend to, anyways it's none of your business." Isaac got a wicked smirk, "I think we should get to the bottom of this. With that he grabbed Sam's meaty wrist and dragged him out the back door.
Sam glared at the shorter, " Issac what are you doing, we're going to get fired. And we cannot afford this with our expenses!" Isaac huffed, "We're on break, it shouldn't take more than a few minuets." He said as he rounded the corner out of the alley. There were skid marks in the street going right, Isaac thinking it must be them, Sam making the rational remark that it could be anyone's car. Isaac furrowed his eyebrows, "Common' the rushing out of this place? Let's just follow a few blocks right, okay?" Sam didn't even respond and just followed Isaac, slumping her shoulders. Every once in a while they would see tire marks and Isaac would insist it was them. So they would follow them.
A few blocks away there was a whole area of abandoned buildings. Sam glanced over to his paler counterpart, "Isaac, we should leave. This place doesn't look too sound." As he said that, a side of one of the buildings exploded. Several bodies flew through the windows. Isaac looked at Sam, "Dude come on grab a gun. If they're in there we need to help them." Before Sam could get a word out Isaac was already running towards the lifeless bodies on the ground. Sam followed in suit and they ran into the building, they've been through worse. Several guys had shot at them but, being veterans it wasn't really a challenge. As they climbed the building they saw more dead bodies. They followed the trail of casualties up to the roof.
Venus sighed, "I fucking hate these buildings, they always manage to blow up some how." Sirius looked at her, "We're almost done, all we have to do is..." He trailed off and the pair turned around aiming at...their coworkers. Isaac and Sam didn't give a moments notice and aimed back at the two. Sirius furrowed his eyebrows, "What are you two doing here?" Sonata growled, "Isn't it obvious! They're hunters too, probably want to steal our bounty." She said as she stood protectively over the unconscious body. Isaac raised his eyebrows, "What the hell are you talking about? We just came to see where you guys run off too! And you should thank us, we got some guys for you!" Sam was tired of this. The arguing wasn't going to explain anything, "Everyone just stand down!" He growled. Mason and Samuel put their guns down but, Isaac and Sonata pointed theirs at each other.
Sirius put his hand on Sonata's shoulder, "Venus, stand down." She thought for a minuet, then put her gun down with a sharp exhale. Isaac sighed and did the same. Sam looked at the two, "Now, to feed Isaac's curiosity, please explain what this," He waved his hands around them, "Is." The two bounty hunters looked at each other and then looked back at the club workers. They gave them the run down, what they did and why they worked at the club. Sam explained Isaac's curiosity of the two and that they meant no harm to the hunters. Mason looked at Sonata then back at their coworkers, "Can we speak for a moment, just us?" Sam nodded and the pair huddled together. Sam and Isaac hear a few hush whispers then a few louder whispers, coming from Sonata, then going back to hushed whispers. After a few minuets the pair of hunters turned towards the club workers. Mason nudged Sonata and she sighed, "Mason and I...noticed you seem to have quite the skill set on you. Mason would like," Mason hit her shoulder and she sighed, "Mason and I would like to know if you want to join us in our business." Isaac and Sam looked at each other and then hear a cough from Sonata.
She crossed her arms, "Hey I think your ex-military skills would be more useful here than a club." She said with a smirk on her face. Isaac smirked, "What's the cut?" Mason stepped up, "Each of us would get a fourth but, I know you two don't live in the most desirable of neighborhoods so, Sonata has offered you two a place." Sonata gaped and clenched her fists. Mason just shut her jaw and looked at the two men, "Only for a short time and you would only get an sixth each until you get your own place." Sam and Isaac looked at each other and nodded, then turned back towards the hunters. Isaac grinned, "When do we move in?" Mason looked at Sonata, who was red with anger, "Tomorrow evening, we'll let you two pack." Sam and Isaac started to walk off and they heard a voice, "Names," the men turned and looked at Sonata, "We go by code names. Pick." Sam spoke almost immediately, "Locus." Sonata looked at Isaac who tapped his chin before smirking, "Felix." Mason nodded, "Welcome aboard, Locus and Felix." The men nodded gratefully before walking away. The bounty started to wake up and Venus quickly kicked him in the face, knocking him out. She glared at Sirius, "I hate you, so, so much."
